I would love to see us go after Phillip Merling form Clemson. I am a huge Clemson fan and can tell you this kid is an animal and was upset to see him for go his senior season. 6'5'' 275 quick and has a non stop motor, possibly better than Gaines Adams and would be a perfect fit in Parcell's 3-4 as an outside linebacker.... think Demarcus Ware!

I'm with you on this. I like this guy more than Chris Long and Glenn Dorsey for a 3-4 scheme as an OLB. I dont think he slips to the 2nd but we have to grab him if he does. There wont be anyone better available

I would rather our second round picks be a CB and LT. Nothing against Merling because I like him to but Those two positions are big time needs for us. Remember that this is Will Allens last year and we will need another starting CB next year.

Long-DE
DRC-CB
Nicks-LT

How about that one!

:D

Btw Merling will probably shoot up at the combine.

Yeah there will be. By the name of DRC.

Like most people, I hadn't seen DRC until yesterday's game. From what I saw, I'd be surprised if he lasts until 32. It was only one game, but he showed #1 shut down corner speed, size, ball skills, leaping ability, solid tackling and great anticipation.

I think we should trade the 33th pick. Drop down just a few spots. I think the player taken here will be hard to sign. With the fordeited pick just ahead, the agent will want 1ST round money, the Dolphins will want to pay 2nd round money. I think this means HOLDOUT.

ive been preaching this all along. we have to adress our LT need. carey isnt a LT he would be a beast RT though. imagine ronnie behind a better line. if jeff otah falls he should be our #33 pick. if not then we should look at cherilus or in the 3rd richardson. but our 2nd round should be OT and CB or possible a WR if a Beast one falls (except desean jackson aka ginn jr "jr"-size wise but smaller).if kelly-highly doubt or hardy falls we should look at them but if weend up getting chad johnson we dont need a that early, and maybe look at monk in the late rounds. but if we take Chad we will probably give up our late 2nd for him (which i dont mind). so i see up going...DE long in the first, OT otah or cherilus in the 2nd, second 2nd is for chad johnson, 3rd either CB or MLB beau bell-could be there in the 4th, if not then maybe goff in the 4th.
in a perfect world miami would trade there late 2nd or possibly there 3rd (or maybe a 2nd next year) for Chad johnson and then on draft day make the trade with dallas for there 1,1,2, Barber and mabe a later pick or next year pick.
