Sunday's loss dumped the Dolphins on a familiar street corner in a bad neighborhood: two games under .500 and needing to make almost every move the right one to get where they want to go.

They did it in 2008, going 9-1 after starting 2-4 to take the AFC East. Now, at 3-5 in an AFC where teams will need at least a 10-6 record to have a wild-card shot, they need a repeat run to have much hope of playing into January.

``That's exactly what's going to have to happen,'' cornerback Nate Jones said. ``We hate to compare to last year. We've got to find it inside ourselves to do the exact same thing we did if we want to salvage this season. The head coach doesn't like and we don't like being mediocre.''

It is very tough to say what will happen because there is still so much football left. A wild card is going to be tough because of Denver/San Diego and Pittsburgh/Cincy/Baltimore. I think was is very important for us Dolphans is the next 3 games. We have a very winnable stretch with Tampa, Carolina, and Buffalo. The Pats have a tough road a ho with Indy, Jets, and Saints. The Dolphins have to sweep these games. This years schedule has been very rough, so they have take advantage of the this down turn. If they do no go 3-0 the season is all but over, as New England, Pittsburgh, and the Texans remain on the schedule. If we do sweep it is very possible we welcome the Pats back to Miami tied for first place at 6-5, or down by one game with the chance to tie for the lead. This time we will have Fergusing back. We have played some very good running backs this season and they have done nothing against Miami. The one game Fergusing missed Maroney had some big plays.
