Hagan has talent. Frankly, I think he can get open as well as anyone on the team. He flat out knows how to separate from db's. He also has a good frame, knowledge of route running, and he is a hard worker.

But let's be real. He drops the ball. I do not think it is about eye-hand coordination. He seems to have some anxiety issues. He clearly fights the ball with his nerves.

Here is something that must be considered if the medical staff is competent: anti-anxiety medication. I have seen paxil work with other players in calming their anxiety and they then perform to their abilities.

Just because a kid has an anxiety problem does not mean he is weak. It is a real condition.

Hopefully the Dolphin medical staff is cognizant of this and are getting Hagan onto paxil asap. I'd hate to see him end up a washout over something that was treatable. Someone who works that hard deserves success.

I am sure the mental midgets on the site will come out with their uninformed belittling comments, but this is a real possibility for helping Hagan.

I bask in your mental Glory! Tell us more! Maybe we'll give joey oxycontin to help absorb sacks better, and well give taylor HGH so he can play longer, and we will give mare electroshock so that he will REALLY be scared to miss kicks!

Don't even mention the fact that other players on anti-anxiety drugs (manny wright) found that they made them sleepy and sluggish and soon quit taking them because it affected their performance.

Are you a rep for a medical company?

Let me guess...Enzyte?

You might would think the medical staff would be on top of things like this, but they aren't always so atuned.

Bob Griese, was having problems in 72 missing recievers. No one could figure out what the problem was. He needed glasses! Once he got his glasses, he became accurate again. He also got the nick name of "Mr. Peabody" from the studious looking cartoon charactor from the "Tom Terrific" cartoon series.

It is common for Rookie Receivers to have drops. It is disturbing that he had drops in the senior bowl, though. Hopefully, Hagan will improve.

LOL HD Jetta, thanks for being predictable. Learn some respect. I know you are only 22 and uneducated, but learn how to write and articulately make a point without ad hominem (yeah, go look it up) attacks.

Read a bit about paxil and then get back with me. I know for a fact first hand that it has helped other players. The sluggishness is a non-factor for top flight athletes. Wright is in a different situation because he is a big body and maintaining his weight was the drawback with the sluggishness. Hagan is not in that situation.

Yes, the medical staff misses all kinds of things. That is right about Griese.

And Hagan's battle with the nerves is painfully obvious. I do not work for a drug company but know it can help. It made all the difference in the world for a couple of players where I have knowledge of the situation.

I think Hagan will be fine with experience. I too believe he has the jitters but playing more and getting passes thrown to him often will fix that. He does get some great seperation.

I think its just rookie jitters, We don't see Ronnie getting happy feet anymore.

I agree 100%. He may have another form of Social Phobia. Ricky Williams's was a generalized form in which he feared any kind of social interaction, whereas the more common kind is fear of performance scrutiny, or "stagefright" as it's commonly called.

And this would fit with Hagan's performance at the Senior Bowl when more of the "lights" were on and the level of scrutiny was turned up quite a bit. Remove his Senior Bowl performance and I'd be more likely to attribute this to "rookie jitters" like some are saying.

yah he could definitely be nervous, becuase im out here at ASU, on campus now, and he didnt drop any balls when he played here. And like one poster said earlier, he does always break away from recievers. he was a monster here, im not sure why hes dropping balls now but the football is the same size. im just guessing he's nervous also becuase he had no problems here.

no doubt dr.demento, hagans is a mental case. I prefer zoloft to paxil less sexual side effects and the haze isn't as bad.

LMFAO @ this idea. I have to give you extra points for creativity man. I have never heard anything even close to prescribing anti-anxiety medication to receivers to cure their drops. LOL.

[mod] Uncalled for. Use the ignore list if you do not like someone. [/mod]
