For those of you that doubt Ronnie's ability or desire (or whatever), all I can tell you is that you don't know the real Ronnie. Ronnie is a work horse and his desire to succeed far outweights your desire for him to. He dealt with all kinds of adversity and challenges at Auburn and he worked that much harder. If you think he lacks hard work, talent, whatever, you don't know Ronnie Brown.

Ronnie will prove, in time, that he was worth the wait and worth the money. He is a big-time gamer and those of you that expect him to be perfect right out of the gate need to realize it takes a little time to transition. Ronnie will be a nightmare for opposing defenses and given that the O-Line does their job, he will do his job.

I would imagine most of you didn't follow Ronnie all the way through college. I did. He single handedly took games over when we didn't have much happening for us. He is that kind of back. Give him time and he will be an all-pro.

Thanks, great post.
You don't fit in on this board though, you actually make a logical argument without rediculous expectations.

There is a virus here that sucks the brains out of most posters, Get out of here while you can! :D

Give me a break. I want to know, who did the running at Aubrun between the 20's? We know who, thats why he is exploding in TB. Like I keep trying to tell you, Ronnie's game wasn't NFL ready. He will be a good 1000 all-purpose yard back, but not special like his counter part from Auburn.

Sure, excuse him by holding out, or whatever excuse you got. It's plain and simple, his game isn't NFL ready. Carnell's was. And Tampa got s steal. Just like Pittspuke last year with Roethlisberger. You guys still dont get the value of a pick. Hype and name mean nothing. Skill and athleticism does. We way overpaid for a 2nd round back. Get used to it, because he will be around for a long time, with that contract.

Hoot and hollar all you want. The facts speak for themselves on the field. You dont have to believe me, just watch the games.

Man, you are joking yourself. If you think Carnell did all the running between the 20s, you are wrong. Dead wrong. They were both co-starters and there were no hard and fast rules about who got the ball when. Matter of fact, last year in the HUGE game that turned our season around, the LSU game, LSU stuffed Caddy. He couldn't get it done, but Ronnie could not be stopped. Jason Campbell came up huge in that game, but Ronnie's contribution was huge.

Caddy has had a great start and I couldn't be more happy for the kid. But Ronnie will be AWESOME for the Fins. You know either know nothing about football or have expectations that are out of this world. Get behind your team, dude.

Everybody is entitled to thier opinion i guess, and i think the exact opposite of you. Ronnie Brown will prove himself, give the man some time

Its only been 2 games, its way too early to get on Brown or say we made a mistake. I think he'll be fine. He's a stronger, more versatile back than Williams, and as the OL improves, Ricky returns and the team gells, his numbers will improve as well.

Come on guys...two games? I agree with the Topic starter. Ronnie just needs some time. You can't determine the career of a player by two games. You bring up Big Ben, well, before him Maddox did rather well with the Pittsburgh system, but was considered average at best before that. I think it's a blend of what the team is doing and the player.

Maybe after this season is through we can evaluate the value of Ronnie, but doing so after two games is silly. Of course, a certain back named Ricky will be back soon, maybe that will add to the controversy!;)

Go be a Bucs fan. We don't need or want you or your opinions here. I know I speak for the majority.

Lithoman, get a hold of yourself. Calm down, Rome wasn't built in a day. The problem is not with who suits up at running back, your concern is misdirected and should be directed to the big guys up front providing the opportunities to whoever Nick decides should get the ball.

And it's right about there that you start having a problem. A lot of people down here just like to complain about their team instead of cheer for it. :shakeno:

I can't believe how many people have written off Ronnie Brown's entire career based on two poor showings. Correct me if I'm wrong (which I know I am not) but even all of the hall of fame backs had some bad games, sometimes back to back and sometimes stretching beyond two games. Many of the HOF backs had sub par rookie seasons. Give ronnie a bitof a break before you throw him on the ash heap of busted NFL careers.

Just have to stir it up don't you?

Which one is on the injured list right now. If you take the exact same number of carries out of each of the two games they are almost even. Stop caddilacs stats when he hits the same number of attempts as Ronnie had running the ball and they have nearly identical stats. Caddilac has more attempts than anyone in the league, of course he will look a little better. I will say though, gus was not on his back nearly as much as greise. Caddilac is a selfish player that wants the ball every down Ronnie is not. Ronnie will sacrafice himself fot the sake of the team.
