First off, let me say this Soliai kid will be better than Alan Branch in this draft .. Branch didn't make that many plays behind the line of scrimmage like this guy.. And I am sure there are more of them from soliai that are not on this video.. Look at this guy play - http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=207187&cl=2376428&ch=396337&src=sports.

With the right coaching, this Soliai guy can be a beast in the NFL .. Cam was right when he said he wanted to build this team from the middle out.. Do you all remember him saying that a couple weeks before the draft ?? Now, who are the guys in the middle? They are the nose tackle and center and guard.. Well he drafted Soliai, Satele and Mormino .. We have a mean middle manned by hungry and angry yuca loving Samoans! I love it.!

Also the QB position is a big part of the middle because he's the nucleus of "the pocket" = Beck .. The fullback is yet another Samoan monster that has a lifelong dream of being the next lorenzo Neal.. And last I checked, the fullback is part of the middle in a "I" formation .. We got a back with Speed = Booker .. The tailback lines up behind the QB .. Again, building through the middle.. We got an ILB in Kelvin Smith who will be a project and a backup for the time being = again, ILB is part of the middle..

On special teams, where Ted Ginn will be used, he will be taking the ball at the back middle of the field, and hopefully utilizing his speed up the middle to the edges for touchdowns.. Ted Ginn was drafted TO OPEN UP the middle of the field.. He will be the outside receiver opening up Chambers IN THE MIDDLE and opening up the running game UP THE MIDDLE because Ginn will account for an extra safety (no more 8 and 9 in the box when he finally have an accurate QB in beck who can get the ball deep to the speedster Ginn) .. Cameron gave us plenty of hints in the press conferences before the draft.. He said MANY times, he wanted to build this team through the middle.. He also mentioned he wants speed (which will open up the middle) .. The strength of (the vast majority) any great football club is in the middle!!

I will make a bold prediction and say the Guard we got as a UDFA - Stephen Parker, will be the surprise of this whole UDFA class.. He was the main reason Arkansas was 3rd in the nation in rushing with McFadden toting the ball - Arkansas ran predominantly over the left guard position (which was one Mr Parker, a mean and nasty son of a gun) .. Again, part of the middle .. While Miami was scouting Tony Ugoh at left tackle, they stumbled upon Parker at left guard when watching film (make no mistake about it) -- Who IMO will be a better o-lineman than Ugoh, who was drafted in the 2nd round.. And we got a hidden gem in Parker for free !! Nice !

Cam is building this ship right.. And I like it.. I am liking this draft more and more when I think about .. You can call me an optimistic dolt all you want if you think otherwise.. But the more I put together what Cam said he wanted, and how he envisioned building this team, I am seeing how he is putting the pieces together to form the team he wants in his mind.. "Start at the Middle, then build the rest" ..

Rejoice Miami fans, it may take a little while ,sure, but things are falling into place because we finally have a management team (and a coach) who actually has A PLAN ! The word "plan" has been missing from this dolphin organization for far FAR too long..

Nice post man....I ve thought a lot about Cams plan too... still a little worried about ginn but the rest seems to fall into place quite well!

Nice to see some optimism!!!!

Not to be rude but I can't read your post. It needs paragraphs badly.

There's no reason not to get fired up. It's May for goodness sakes. let's do it!

I love your enthusiasm and unlike many enthusiastic posters, you make sense.

The Ginn pick is troubling from many angles. To paraprase Wanny from years ago: "We've got the Ginn family and foot thing to deal with..."

You're not being rude , you are absolutely right .. I had it split in paragraphs and I don't know what happened.. Not when I try to edit the post and put in back into paragraphs I get an error page come up..Maybe the site is still having technical problems ?? Sorry guys, I don't know what's going on.. Sorry my post looks so awful like that ..

Nice post. We got solid guys who have not yet reached their potential...I don't think Quinn is going to get any better, and his accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. I think all the fans who were booing Cam and Randy will be eating crow in a year or two.

It does finally appear the fins have a long term plan, I am optimistic but in reality its going to take a couple years.

In the middle!!!!!!!!

And when you place all the names in a list, and center justify them, they all line up:

Ted Ginn, Jr.
John Beck
Samson Satele
Lorenzo Booker
Paul Soliai
Reagan Mauia
Drew Mormino
Kelvin Smith
Brandon Fields
Abraham Wright
IN THE MIDDLE!

I’m just messing with you, man.

I know I was thinking the same thing, but then I thought how sad it was that I was actually excited that our professional football team had a plan... I mean what kind of team doesn't... Oh yeah us for the last 10 years

naw, we ALWAYS had a plan even with saban, we just nevre had a man that was DOWN FOR HIS WORDS n' not SELLING HIMSELF ala saban. wanted to get yougner n build via draft but yet he hardly got ne picks ala mueller did this year nor did he get us younger rather older. Cam said he wuold do that and my god did he do that exactly with a C, FB, n QB.

That Soliai video was awesome, thanks for posting it. I've seen a few clips of the guy and remember, I believe, seeing one Utah game on TV this year and I distinctly remember a guy just like him causing some havoc. I could be wrong though. That, of course, was why I enjoyed the video so much. He DESTROYS quarterbacks. That one pass batted down I think...around the :50 mark, the QB picks it up and Soliai tosses him several feet hard into the ground.
