I'm actually pumped about the Fins.

Its gotta be since the start of the 98 season and the 95 season before that.

I think Parcells is putting football people in place. They are going to build both lines, and this team will be mentally tough.

The Fins (in a year or two) will be fun to watch again. Joey Porter might actually even have a big year.

I'm not only looking forward to the draft and FA, but I will actually go into a season not feeling the need to just dump on the morons who are running this team.

It has been so long since we've had knowledgeable football people running this team.

I have faith in Sparano as a teacher and as a developer. Saban was a great teacher, but his forte is college football. Its like using PC habits on a Mac. It doesn't workout. Sparano knows and understand the pro player as well as the pro game.

Get ready for the two TE, two back system. Can that FB from WVU play TE? I could see him being a monster there, really. Hopefully we can trade back four or five spots and pick up an extra second rounder and then get to work.

i agree tampa, i feel fuzzy all over after watching sparano's presser and knowing that our man parcells will have his and his two confidants blueprints all over this franchise.

I'm getting weary bout the Phins. Every year we get the same thing. I was pumped about hiring Cam and watching our "O" put up some points finally. Look where that got me.

Well ... Owen Schmitt was used occasionally as a receiver out of the backfield at WVU, but I personally don't think that he would be suited AT ALL as a TE in the NFL. As a fullback, he (and I usually hate when people use this term, but...) is a beast, but not as a TE.

The difference between last year and this year is that we actually hired a Head Coach candidate instead of a great coordinator. Cam was a great coordinator with poor game and team management skills. He will excel again as a coordinator for another team, but Sparano ( with the help of Bill and Ireland) is better at motivating and managing a team and will help this team excel once again.

i was never pumped about the hiring of cam cameron, i questioned openly whether or not he had the leadership qualities to reverse the horrible football culture that had developed here, PARCELLS WAS ALWAYS SOMEONE I BELIEVED THIS FRANCHISE NEEDED.

IMO, don't be worried. Changes had to be made from 2007.

2008: Discipline? Check. Leadership? Check. Strong & proven Personnel Department? Check. Coach previous players believe in & will fight for? Check.

This is now a whole different ball game, and unlike some of the false promises we've fallen for in the past, we started (correctly) at the top and are working our way down the line. Next up, coordinators & assistant coaches. Finally, the roster. The pretenders, fakers, con-men, whiners, locker-room lawyers, lazy bums, and other overpaid malcontents will be shown the door.

I am enjoying this, and I'm stoked for what lies ahead.

Don't get too excited just yet. we have ANOTHER new coach, ANOTHER new GM, and ANOTHER new staff. Capers is gone on D coordinator, I would not be surprise to see Zach retire, and JT might be traded. I would expect 6 wins next year, which is still 5 more than this year. but we are still at least 3 years away from being back in the playoffs. Still knowing that Glenn Dorsey is there if we want him this year is a great thought.

im pretty excited about thigns as well. just because its bill parcells. his name alone brings credibility in the organization and everything he does. with that said, im a little worried about the hiring process. sure we interviewed 3 other guys, but did they really have a shot at the job? i dont think so, i think its obvious it was sparano all the way, same with ireland all the way based on prior relationships, that worries me. but hey, these guys all worked out well for dallas, so why shoudlnt the same blueprints work well here as well? so sure it makes me wonder... but at the same time it makes me excited to look at how it panned our for dallas, and what it can do for us...

the only other that that worries me is the defense, and its stars... taylor and thomas and what the future holds for them. and our QB status... is green back or done? can beck get the job done? do we draft one? who knows...

the front office changes sure give reasons to be excited, but we still have the same lack of talent we had then.. mind you alot of guys will be back and ready to go from injuries... so who knows... but its definately all in all looking promising.

For the first time since 1999, I feel like we have someone in the front office who knows what the hell he's doing.

Cam did the dirty work of gutting this team, who better to take the leftovers, add some youg studs and a few F.A.s
BUT THE TUNA!!!!
