Please please PLEASE everyone stop even entertaining the thought of drafting Chase Daniels. He is undersized, he plays in a system, and he will be a mediocore player AT BEST in the NFL. If you want to talk about drafting a QB talk about the Painter kid from Purdue in the later 2nd round or maybe even 3rd round if he slips that far. I think that we need to see the development of the QBs so far and we need to see how far they still have to go before we can make any actual assesment. There are other areas of concern for us most notably IMO LB corps and secondary next year. A playmaker would be wonderful and instant gratification IS the American way but WE ARE REBUILDING. I think that everyone needs to remember this and know that we have only one way to go from here....UP.

Totally agree on Chase Daniel...although he's a helluva college quarterback and gritty competitor.

As of now, I'm also on the Maualuga bandwagon.

However, I think Mike Teel of Rutgers and Chase Holbrook of New Mexico St. have as much pro potential as Painter.

Holbrook because he's 6-6, 230 pounds and throws lasers...but does so in a spread offense.

Teel because he plays in a pro style offense, but also has prototype size (6-3, 225) and pretty decent physical tools.

Michael Oher, Michael Johnson, Malcolm Jenkins, Vontae Davis, Heyward-Bey, Demetrius Byrd, and Al Woods I also like as potential Phins.

Won't be getting a QB we have Chad Henne for the future. More pressing needs IMHO at WR, OLB, AND DB. My "ideal" pick for each is WR- Derrius Heyward-Bey, OLB-Johnnie Selvie, hell even MCClintock from PITT, and for DB- VONTAE DAVIS, I'll pass on Jenkins from Ohio State.
