Henne actually does a good job of looking off receivers. In fact, he does it here for TD passes at 50 seconds in, and another TD pass at 2:08 into the video.. The announcers even replay it and describe him looking off the receivers moving the safety over to open it up.

So what were you guys saying about Henne? Do you think he is the all-time passing leader at a big school like Michigan for nothing?

hmmmm.. There's concrete evidence to end that stupid false perception on Henne. Don't bring it up anymore because it's a flat out lie.

By the way, there's 8 games of offensive highlights from Henne's junior season in 2006 here-.. You can see him looking off receivers plenty throughout the season-. So that talk of him not being able to look off receivers needs to end.

I agree with you buddy.

He is a solid, solid QB that has all the tools you need to succeed.

He works harder than most and will be a solid player. I don't know if he's THE guy but he'll give anyone a run for their money.

He needs time to adjust to the speed of the game and the amount of studying it takes to be a NFL QB but he's definatly not lacking any tools to get the job done.

It now takes effort, effort which will equal results.

Nice find. The thing I liked most about those videos was the blocking of #77 in just about every play. I like it I like it I like it!!

He did at one time have a problem locking onto receivers as a Freshman and Soph at Michigan. But he has improved since then.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8bzZEtOcb8 check this one out. I am not impressed with Henne at all. He needs some serious work his release is not as fast as beck With D-lines becoming more faster a quick release is necessary. if he turns out great good for us if not we waisted a pick.

from what ive read on scouting reports before the draft...some of the people had "locks down on recievers" in the Negatives section. i tend to believe these scouts who view a whole lot more tape than a youtube video with just 2 plays of "proof" that he doesnt.

and thats coming from someone who supports drafting Henne. im by no means a Henne or a Beck guy. im a Dolphins need a young QB guy...and let the best of the two win guy. i wouldnt go as far as calling everybody "WRONG" by just two clips of "proof"

I think it's pretty pointless to put out a 2 minute video of his mistakes over a span of FOUR YEARS!..

You can do that for ANY QB over a 4 year period... What's pathetic about the attempt of that video is most of it is just him getting sacked.!! As if that's his fault ! LOL..... Let me put together a 2 minute video of Marino getting sacked and then saying "marino sucks"-- do you see how stupid and pointless that is now?

Come on, you can do better than that.

hahahahah I noticed it too! We definatly picked right there! What a horse!

As if scouting reports have always been right about every player.. Please.. Do you know how many times I've seen scouting reports turn out to be bogus over the years? Too many times to mention!

And the following is more than 2 plays-- I guess you missed it

yeah. And he doesn't have that problem at all now over the past few years. Yet uninformed people make false claims.

It's rather comical really.

I feel the same way you do.

I'll take a scouts word over some guy who is using youtube videos as proof.

so isnt it pretty pointless to show an 6 minute video of clips for a guy that had a four year career and then use that video to say everybody else is wrong?

i mean, you cant have it both ways dude. and if you missed it...im not hating Henne. im absolutely find with the pick, and i hope he turns out to be our QB of the future. i just think its stupid for someone to call everybody "WRONG" by watching one youtube video.

I'm glad you posted that, I had seen it but couldn't remember where, I was trying to find it to dispute the very point you made.

The thing I believe the scouts don't take into consideration is the power a QB has staring at a reciever he will throw the ball too.

In college they are taught position so much that staring at a reciever is just as important looking off. DB's are taught to hold their positions first then bite on the ball. Very few Schools will let anybody regardless of the talent just fly around the feild.

So that makes it an available option to watch a receiver complete a route and deliver the ball.

The interesting part will be to see how he adjusts without that luxury.

If you actually read the whole post, you'd see there is alot more than 8 minutes there..

Again, there's more than one video there if you actually read the whole post. And commentators in some of those videos mention how he is "good at looking off receivers".. They did not make that up out of thin air. They heard it from coaches, they even mention that. Who better than coaches?

And again, to the other person bringing up scouts.. Scouts have been wrong BIGTIME regarding players.. Coaches are much more qualified than some schmuck scout.
