For Those Looking To Dump Gase, Who You Want Instead?

there doesn’t seem to be a lot of hot coaching candidates out there IMO.

Of this list, the only one I would take to replace Gase is Stanford’s David Shaw

While Gase does some things that are irritating, overall I still think he has promise. He does have a great record in close games, and has had to deal with a crap ton of injuries. His playoff run in his first year given the lack of talent was impressive enough for me to keep him around without any clear upgrades available.

Before I give up on Gase, I want him to give up calling plays. If he doesn't, I give up on Gase as HC.

I don't care what the record says we're not good. If we finished 8 + 8 it'll be a dream not a good dream but a bad dream. I don't see this team winning any more than that and if you don't see their faults I don't know what to tell you. For those that are happy with this record enjoy it for another week or two because its fading fast guys we aren't 3-0 anymore

IMO, a successful team should be able to run the ball when the opponent knows you're going to run, stop the run, and gain chunk yardage through the air. On offense, an old-school smash-mouth running game paired with a vertical passing game would be very efficient when you mix in short and medium passes, screens, and play-action. Gase is the opposite of this, so I'd rather see an experienced, old-school Head Coach replace him.

I mean we signed Gase as an offensive guru, genius, QB whisperer. And we have been bottom 5 in all offensive stats since he’s been here. What the ****. Our offense has never scared anybody since he’s been here. That’s on him.
