want Chris Simms to miami are insane, this guy is soo poor at the position that the commentators where even saying its 3 years that Chris is studying the O and he cannot adapt to it, i saw him play and he sucks big time, a career back up QB IMO, Btw I saw Surtain play and he is horrible, i guess we got the better deal of the trade A 2nd Matt Roth, which i think he will excel with time

Chris Simms was very effective against us...Either he is no that good or we suck big time when Simms played against us.

Surtain is horrible!!!Check who are the top 5 corners in this league..
Have you seen Champ Bailey v.s TO today by the way? :shakeno:

yes i did he got burned but Surtain does not look comfy in the Chiefs D, i have the ticket and i watch him play he is not effective
 
sorry dom, i'm going to have to completely disagree with you here....

Simms is no probowler, but he's better than what we have on our roster. He just had a bad day today. Surtain is a GREAT corner... he is twice as good as our best guy on the roster right now. Roth hasn't done squat for us this year, Surtain would have been much more helpful to us... remember we lost two games single-handedly to Howard.... if Surtain was here that wouldn't have happened and we would be at least 5-3 right now...

well its a completely different defensive scheme there.... maybe he is taking awhile to adapt to it... he's only been there for 8 games.

but he was a stellar corner for us here... perennially one of the league's best. he doesn't just "get bad" in one offseason. remember, we didn't cut him because he sucked... they just wanted to not pay him his contract...

in retrospect, and seeing how our cap looks this upcoming year, we should have kept him... no one else can we get out there that will be as cheap or as good for the price point... and our secondary SUCKS.

that is one trade thus far that (with hindsight) i realize was a mistake, under Saban's regime...

no pass rush. he is forced to cover his receivers for too long a period of time. jared allen is the only legitimate pass rush threat they have
 
Surtain is solid he just doesn't look like an all-star. I don't know why we didn't cut/trade Madison and keep Surtain.
 
Surtain is one of the best corners in the leagues, but sometimes hes apt to lazyness.

One game he's shutting down a guy like Torry Holt and then another game he's getting burned left and right.

BTW - what a great show that was. Kept the guy to 1 catch, 4 yards last year. :D

we can use a surtain but he does stink In KC
 
simms is pretty terrible. living in tampa and following the bucs i could've told you that a while ago (and...i did). he was miserable in the preseason (except for the houston game) and gruden said many times during training camp he wasn't looking too sharp out there. he really has no clue what's going on out there, and a simple blitz comlpetely confuses him

then again, there's no way he should've passed the ball as much as he did today
