Do you still want to harp that LT has the same YPC as Ronnie. Ronnie is a good back, LT is one of the two best in the NFL along with a healthy Shaun Alexander. Please until Ronnie does something lets leave LT out of the convo.
This is not a bashing of Ronnie I just get tired of people bring up LT's current YPC as a way to say Ronnie is better than he is at this point.

25 rushes 183 yards 2 td's
3 receptions for 57 yards 1 TD

Now that is a friggin beast statline if I ever saw one. A shame also that they have a rookie Left tackle that could have been ours. This is not a star studded oline and yet they are at least showing up and not getting thier QB killed.

just let it go.

We know Ronnie isn't elite yet, but why do people feel the need to trash him at every oppurtunity. One of the reasons he is not putting up huge rushing numbers is not because of the o-line (although that doesn't help), it is because our offense is not committed to running the football.

Also Ronnie is contributing over 100 yards of total offense a game, I'll take that. If you feel the need to trash someone, why not someone who is actually a reason why we are losing?

Ronnie Brown is barely good, no where near great, and as far as common sense is concerned, has not earned the caliber recognition of a #2 overall pick even in a weak draft. Some here will defend Ronnie to the death. God bless those people. I admire their zeal. But I have eyes too and I know what I see and don't see. The kid is not a star. Will he become one? Obviously I hope he does, as every Dolfan does.

I don't feel I'm trashing Ronnie Brown. He has no speed in the open field (review the dash to the corner of the endzone where he's caught from an awkward angle) and his vison has been less than mediocre. His power is extraordinary and he's producing just enough to satisfy, but is that what you expected to see out of this youngster? Even with our horrid OL, have you seen any of those small flashes from last year that made you think Saban is a genius? I have yet to see Ronnie hit a hole with the same bad intentions that an "unloyal" Ricky Williams use to hit holes with.

Not a bashing of Ronnie? You think he is nothing more than a good backup, how is that not bashing him? He isnt LT, no one is. That doesnt mean Brown isnt a good RB, it just means he isnt the best RB in the league. I can live with that.

Ronnie "happy feet" Brown will not be an elite back until he learns how to hit a hole hard.

which can take awhile. Caddy does the same thing this year. As does Lewis, T Bell, Parker. Maybe installing a zone blocking scheme will help Ronnie (ie, one cut and go)

When did I say Ronnie was a backup. I said he was a good back just not one of the best.

My bad, just reread your post. You said Ronnie is a good back, I read good backup because I'm an idiot.

still don't get where I was trashing Ronnie, its obvious he is not int he same class with LT that does not make him a bad back. I just get tired of people making excuses that other backs only got 1700 yards because they have a good line and Ronnie could easily do that. 1700 yards is fairly rare and not and not as easy as people on this site think it is.

I only read part of the message, and took it as bashing. My bad.
