Dennis Hickey is having a 1 PM Pre-Draft Press Conference today. He's going to go over his draft board with the media. Now I'm sure we all know he's not going over the players on his board, but it's something.

i don't get it. what good would this do? or do all teams do this?
He's probably just going to talk about drafting BPA vs. need and tell them the Fins could move up or down in any round depending on how the draft falls compared to their board. Going to be pretty vanilla I'm guessing. I wouldn't look for any Earth shattering information.

dennis hickey: "What we want to do is get better and make a push for the playoffs. We want to go with BPA on our board. We will listen to offers to trade down and might trade up. It really depends on where everyone falls. There are some good offensive and defensive players in the draft this year. Pretty deep draft."

This could also be an opportunity to throw out some items that hint we are looking for a move up, down, trade a player, etc. So not only for the fans and media, but also other GM's who will get info on this presser. Just another wrinkle in the smoke screen game.
