With Ryan Tannehill reaching 20 passing TDs yesterday he is the first Miami QB since Dan Marino in 1994 and 1995 to have back-to-back seasons of 20+ passing TDs. If Tanny averages 2 TDs a game for the final 5 he will be the first QB since Dan in 94 to get 30 in a season.

Tannehill also is currently 10th in passing TDs in the league and with current full time starters is also top 10 in passer rating and completion percentage (again that's with current healthy starting QBs taken into account)

Mike Wallace and Jarvis Landry are also the first WR tandem since 1999 to have 5 or more TDs a piece (key word is WRs) on the team, and I believe Landry is 2 TDs away from the rookie record for the franchise

Chambers are you saying that we are seeing the best QB play in 20 years? Shocking!

so do you think we should sign him...?

That is exactly what I'm saying. Now to be fair, we haven't exactly had good QB play in that time (even in Dan's later years), but I also wanted to point out that Ryan Tannehill is having a very good year by any QB standards

Shhhhh, dont tell the "Tannehill is average at best" school.

Chambers had 7 TD's as a rookie. Landry needs 3 more to beat that and get to 8.

I believe Wallace is only 4 TDs from a career best as well.

I'm all in on Tannehill. But these stats in today's pass happy NFL don't mean crap. All franchise QBs should be slinging 30 TDs per year. Not being a downer. I love what RT is doing - he's the real deal and watching him grow up before our eyes is awesome. I just am jaded when it comes to the gaudy QB stats that roger goodells NFL has created via rule changes. Marino throwing 48 in a season in '84 would be somewhere comparable to someone throwing 60ish today IMO.

You're being a Downer!

No doubt Tannehill has made great progress. When and if he learns to hit the long pass we'll be talking 40 TDs instead of possibly 30

it's amazing how tannehill is performing with a make-shift o-line, and limited receiving weapons.

excited to see how far he goes with improvement to those team areas.

Once Miami trades Wallace, Tanne's long ball will get much better.
