For those upset about Satele trade

We did not trade Satele for Grove. We signed Grove as a free agent and were able to trade Satele for Oakland's 6th round pick (Which we used on Andrew Gardner) and swapped 4th round picks, moving up higher in the 4th round.(Fins draftted Hartline, ypu can make the argument that we would have been able to get Harline with our original 4th round pick). So we traded a backup center for a backup tackle (for cheaper price) and moved up and took Hartline.

Nobody is really gonna see a center tear it up, it will get noticed by how we rush the football this season.

Dude it is Incredible how Satele has gotten worse and worse each year. While Ginn has looked better & better and fans still dont like him.

His catches don't look like Smith's int's (though he has had 1 or 2 exceptional ones) and I believe most people (and me) don't think he was a good value where he was picked.

Remember the booo's live at the selection that draft day ? That kinda stuff tends to stick in folk's craw for a while.

I hope he proves me wrong and he is definatly making progress toward that. We'll see this season.

There would have been last year when most people on this board thought he was the best thing since sliced Wonder bread.

LOL, who the hell thought that? And why? Because of our great success at running between the tackles? Or because Satele owned Wilfork and Jenkins all over the field? :rolleyes2:

There were a lot of dissenting voices - and certainly back off on Samson pots - he was injured posts he did it is best posts (I'm sure he did..) it was all the Guards fault kind of posts (not sure)

The fact is that samson is a finesse guy and not a bad *** guy..., we need bad ***

Either way you thought of him it isn't the Dolphins problem now. I guess I like to err on the the side of realism, one good season does not make a career lol!

I just wish we got more out of the Raiders for him. Every other team in the league completely reams Oakland in trades.

His rookie year Samson played very well. He was a great puller from the center position, and was also great on screen plays. Stop acting like he never did anything good here. I am not upset about the trade as I think Grove fits our system better, and is most likely a better player. Still though, Samson did do some good things for us before he left.

He did not get worse each year. He played horribly his first year. Everyone except a few of us believed the hype. I started out believing the hype, but I was quickly cured of the affliction by watching his confusion on the field.
