For those who have watched Allen....

He can lay the smack down but isn't a huge hitter.. He can run really well for his size and will be all over the field.. Before he got hurt he was ranked higher than Huff or Whitner.. He is a great tackler also, and has some ball hawk skills..

Type "Jason Allen" in the search bar it's the first video. I don't understand the point of posting this. So he gets owned by Ronnie Brown in about 7 clips.....so? Ronnie Brown is on our team so he won't have to worry about him. Actually it makes Ronnie look pretty good.

Then you're lucky, it will make you depressed. I'm sure Ronnie loves this pick.

It would make people depressed if it was a whole game or different clips from different games not just againt brown.

Stupid!

Allen, will be better than average IMHO. his combine numbers indicate he is recovered from the hip injury. Nick does his due dilligence, so im comfortable with the pick. he has got the speed to play the slot guy and steps up well in run support... i am a Game**** fan, but was terrified we would take SC CB Johnathan Joseph, who needs another year in college, and entered last season as a question mark for SC. he played well but everyone i knew who follows the Game****s was surprised that he declared (i think he is only just 20), and more surprised he is expected to go in the first round.

Cincy just took Joseph, they can have him. ill take Allen.

...are we looking at the second coming of Louis Oliver? Nothing more fun to watch than the huge hits Oliver used to lay down.

No he's a much better player than Oliver was. He won't be a liability in coverage. Oliver was 224lbs and had a huge upper body, but he had only straight line speed. He didn't have fluid hips or the ability to change direction.

Yeah, but Louis Oliver to lay a lick into someone. If this Allen guy can hit like Louis and have better movement, I think we've got ourselves a hell of a pick.

Allen is a FS he isnt supposed to be a huge hitter.........played some corner too....he will be a good coverage FS that will stop teams from trying to go over the top......I couldnt name 2-3 FS's in the NFL that could tackle Ronnie one on one.

Allen

I have seen him in over 20 games since I am a student at UT. He is a big hitter that is for sure. But DO NOT mistake him for a guy who doesn't wrap up and can't tackle. He hardly ever has a missed tackle. And for all of you that keep posting the Auburn video. He was the only guy tackling Cadillac and Ronnnie in the game. He had over 10 tackles easily and I would hope for our sake that Ronnie could run him over a few times in the open field or we shouldn't have taken him #2 overall.

Allen runs a 4.4, he is taller than most WR's in the NFL, plays anywhere in the secondary and can actually catch the INT when it comes his way. He will be a beast I can guarantee you.

He is 100 times better than a few years ago when good ole Wandstedt drafted Eddie Moore in the 2nd round. That was a reach and Moore had a history of injury problems. Allen never had injury problems at UT other than the hip injury this past year. I am excited to have a VOL back on the Dolphins team, haha!
