For what it's worth (Manning "update")

I'd really prefer that instead of Manning telling us we're out of it, for us to man up and tell him we're moving on. Then go get Flynn, if Philbin is on board with that. It's time this team shows some stones and self respect, and starts directing a few things. Enough of being every one else's leverage.

Its Ross. He's maniacally obsessed with signing him. We all want him, but I mean cmon- its over. He isn't coming here. Its obvious. But Ross is so hell bent on signing Manning that he won't just move on. Eventually you have to realize there's no chance and move on.

Oh how cute. More tweets about "inside sources". Wake me up when there's some real news.

I don't think we would've spent that money on Soliai if we were in it in managements mind. Now this maybe far fetched but don't rule out Indy. Irsay maybe letting the market set the price. Don't forget Reggie Wayne just surprised and resigned there. Saturday and Clark are still waiting and MOST IMPORTANTLY Irsay had to have seen the price Washington payed for #2. Just sayin...

We traded our best receiver and perhaps best receiver in the NFL and Manning is going to throw to who...?

Hey is Wes Welker a free agent?

i dont know why but i still got a feeling he will sign with us..just dont see him in denver or arizona, the titans worry me thou but still feel good about it.and marshall getting traded doesnt matter with peyton he will make bess, hartline and gates look like a good group of wideouts and dont forget clay with training camp this year he should improve also..

Following the logic we should sign Peyton now and trade him back to Indy along with some picks for Luck .Indy didn't have to pay the bonus and has Peyton back. We have Luck. Win win. Tearful reunion with Issay. Reggie Wayne knew all along.

I hear ya. What if Manning wanted Marshall gone. He signs now and gets to pick his rookie 1st round receiver. You never know.

The fact that Matt Flynn is almost an afterthought makes me wanna steer clear of him. Either go Manning and Floyd/Blackmon or go Tannehill and Hill. I was perfectly fine going Matt Moore and a rookie (Tannehill) this year and that not getting Peyton Manning doesn't change that.

Manning has no reason to play for a team whose only mildly competent pass catcher is Davone Bess.

oh you know manning would have that changed in a hurry. I still dont see how arizona can afford him at all. Tennessee has who at WR? I know that guy from Rutgers there but he's been injured and streaky.

not even sure i take wideout in first round trade back a little take best cornerback on board.get receiver in second round maybe hill.and still have extra picks cause shopping sean smith and pick from bears and tradeing back..solves corner problem reciever problem and if no peyton grab weeden

Call it leverage... hot air... whatever. But source close to Manning says Dolphins aren't out of it "at all" even if "trailing in the race." [via Twitter]

I wish he'd just tell us we're out of it already, dammit.

That is such bs. He went to tenn, Denver, and az. He allowed himself to be wined and dined by all three if those owners, he didn't even meet Ross, and we just traded away our best receiver. We don't have that much room under the cap, he couldn't even be bothered to come to our facilities and he lives in south beach, he is so uninterested in the dolphins. We really need to move on, it's embarrassing

So you think he entertained them at his house for 5-6 hours for the fun of it? I don't think Peyton needed to see the 'facilities' in Miami. He's rather familiar with them...

You don't think he talked to Manning with the breaking technology known as a phone? I'm sure they talked many times by now. Manning doesn't think we are out of it so lets hope for the best.

This is exactly my feeling... He went to the three other places and just gave us an evening in some place in Indy...

Brandon Marshall is no where near the best receiver in the NFL. he was 10th in yards and tied for 33rd in TDs
