For What It's Worth... Martin's Pre-Draft Personality Tests

I'd rather see whats was said back then other than a new article dated 11/6/13

I'm sure some scouts questioned Martins toughness and would have passed on him...

He was smart enough to know what the test results would indicate. Well played Mr. Martin.

His can't be I mean people on here claim Martin had all these red flags labeling him soft!

I think that had more to do with the fact that Martin lacked the power/strength to be an NFL lineman in his first season. I doubt that there was anyone on this board who knew Martin personally or his mental makeup prior to him coming on the team- or even prior to this whole situation going down. Everyone knew he didn't have adequate "gym strength" to play NFL tackle when we saw him play his rookie season, but we also saw him make a commitment to getting better and stronger in the off-season which was somewhat proven by his play this season (when compared to his less than stellar rookie performance).

There were no public red flags about this guy's mental attributes. This is not news.

Now, what is in the scouting report and what has been known off the record are two different things. And unless one of a select few people (i.e. Jeff Ireland) leaks that information, we will never know.

Yup...that is why all these personnel guys are saying off the record that they though Martin was soft.

Any fan that watched the guy play would beg to differ with those test results.

Hell, Ireland should have asked Martin if HIS mom was a hooker...

man thats a test you can cheat on you know what you cant cheat on is a bench press, Martin was weak and soft.
