Why did we stop running the ball in the second half yesterday?

All of our problems started when we dropping back in the shotgun- sound familiar?

Unfortunately our problem's seem to stem from inefficient coaching, and it is extremely frustrating watching as a fan.

Philbin's sideline demeanor is also irking.

Another week another disappointed Fins fan, spare me the clapping Joe, it not necessary.

You are spot on, my friend.

When your QB is getting F'ed in the A when he drops back AND your run game is doing well, guess what? YOU CONTINUE to RUN the GODDAMN ****ING BALL!!!!

ARHAHAHARHAJAHAHGAGAGAGAGAGAGGAGAGAGGHAGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGH!!!!!!

I think Coach P was trying to outsmart Belli. Hmmm, we ran it well first half so they'll play the run hard and we'll start heaving the rock all over the place. He just didn't figure that our receivers can't separate and the OL fails to pick up the blitz more often than not.

For a few years on this site we were treated to the nonsense that running the ball no longer mattered. Join the rest of the league and wing it 50+ times every game. Happy days ahead. What could go wrong?

I appreciate that the majority of the forum now grasps that it was flawed thinking. As I've long emphasized, only the teams manned by elite quarterbacks can break the standard rules and abuse the forward pass. For the rest of us, balance and physical football still matters. It's the Vince Lombardi Trophy, not the Don Coryell Trophy.

Even Green Bay has slowly conceded that Rodgers is aided immensely by a reliable running game. They actually did something with their draft picks. The Packers now have rushed at least 29 times in 5 consecutive games. That was unheard of for them in recent seasons.

Exactly.

Live by a one sided offense die by a one sided offense and Miami is dying this year because they just do not have the "elite" QB to pull it off.

The same people would have you believe that defense doesn't matter anymore but the cold hard truth is, balance always has and always will produce dynasties, problem is the NFL doesn't like dynasties, parity is better for business. A offense heavy or defense heavy team can take a run over multiple years and maybe win one or two spread out championships, like the Ravens or the Colts but only teams with balance will contend and win multiple times in so many years.

20 runs in first half.

6 in second.

Unacceptable.

Sherman is a tit.

This has been Sherman's M.O. throughout his entire career.... There is ZERO method to his madness. Ask any Green Bay fan, he would be up 21 points at the half (sound familiar) and abandon what works, would keep throwing to hell and high water even though the logical thing would be to run. Or run when the logical thing would be to pass. Or always run a draw on 3 and longer than 10.

The only thing consistent about him is that he's very inconsistent and logic isn't his friend.

Can't teach an old dog new tricks.
