If you did not think about the Dolphins biggest need what college player would you most like to see as a Dolphin? It is hard for me to not say McClain because ILB is such a need, and he could be the heart and soul of our defense for a long time. My final answer though would be CJ Spiler. We really need to fix the defense, but I love this guy. His ability to hit a home run every time he touches the ball is very apealing. I also love how he is a dangerous RB, WR, and KR. This guy has Marshal Faulk written all over him. Our offense lacks speed, except Ginn who is most likely done in Miami, and big play ability. I would love to have a three headed monster with Brown, Williams, and Spiller. Hopefully we can sign Rolle and Dansby, so if Spiller does slip to us we could pull the trigger. If McClain and Spiller are both available I would probably curse if we did not take McClain due to how bad our defense was, but I realy like Spiller as well.

How about you guys? Is there a player you would love to see in aqua, orange, and white, but know we have bigger fish to fry?

not at 12 neccesairly but mike iupati, carlos dunlap, Jimmy Clausen, Joe Haden, any of the top 4 OT's...

If need is not an issue then K.Wilson CB Boise St, that dude is a football player straight up. Orlando Scandrick(from BSU) was not half the player Wilson is(they played together so it was easy to compare the two) and Scandrick(5th rounder) almost beat out M.Jenkins(1st rd) for the cowboys. Wilson is a fantastic KR and played some Free Safety. He had a great week of practice during the senior bowl and would be a great addition to our team.

You don't ignore need when there are going to be great players at "need" positions who will be available for us to choose when we pick at #12. This isn't the year to grab one. Next year will be the year to grab a RB early with Ronnie maybe going to free agency and Ricky retiring.

If you read the original post, it's saying in a world where we don't think about need, who would you take?

reading is for p*ssies

in a perfect world, I'd still chooses either Dez Bryant or Rolando McClain.

When people discuss how a team will draft they usually envision it as a combination of position of need and BPA, but most people don't see how they player might fit in with a particular system. The 3-4 we run this year will be much different than the one we ran last year (one of the reason's I'm not high on McClain for Miami).

To answer the question, though, it'd be Spiller or Berry.

damn you suck man spiller is a luxury pick for a team that can't afford that we did it last year with Pat White. Now I understand that CJ Spiller is a much better prospect but he wouldn't really make that big of a difference with this team. RB is the easiest position to fill. I would rather get a NT, ILB, FS, WR, TE anything along those lines. Also, your 2nd round pick of Major Wright is awful. The kid can't cover a lick.

Some people need to gain some reading comprehension skills before posting.

I would take Sam Bradford, no question. I'm always going to gamble on the upside at the most vital position. Clausen is too line drive prone with fewer ways to create the ideal play for the situation. Last play against Purdue he wings it 100 MPH and succeeds, last play against USC he wings it 100 MPH on the same play and wasn't even close.

Bradford had 9.2 YPPA as a freshman, 9.8 YPPA as a sophomore. That's freakish territory and it comes with a quick release, good decision making, catchable ball and more than enough arm strength.

Somewhat obscure, but I also like that he's a scratch golfer. That's incredibly difficult to achieve and requires strength, touch, smarts and patience. Many of the best NFL QBs have been top notch golfers.

If we're just gonna talk the first round QB prospects, I'd say Clausen is better. I'm never comfortable drafting a guy coming off of a shoulder injury. That kind of stuff is just death for most QBs. Chad Pennington's the only guy that I can think of who really overcame shoulder problems and became a good NFL QB. Aside from his injury history, he also played with elite NFL talent for much of his career. Half of his starting offensive line from 2008 is in the NFL. Gresham's a first rounder. Juaqiun Iglesias is playing on Sundays. Demarco Murray is an NFL caliber RB. Then, he played largely from the shotgun. Clausen's hardly a perfect prospect, but I trust good QBs on bad teams more than I trust good QBs on great teams.

Spiller is the #1 overall prospect in my book. He would do more for this team as far as impact than any other prospect. You guys need to watch this guy on film and quit talking out your a$$. I like Ronnie but it is time to move on. The guy stays hurt, has no break away ability, and could not crack his starting lineup in college. Look at Spillers stats! The guy should have won the Heisman!

Bob Stoops quarterbacks have never translated to the NFL.....Bradford's numbers are too skewed by the system that is designed to prop up quarterbacks...

His frame is still a little too frail to withstand the pounding in college once his offensive line wasn't as good....much less in the NFL...

Bradford is the guy that will break this trend of Stoops quarterbacks having to go out and get real jobs....but it won't be immediate.....Bradford needs time...

His touch is delicate and his accuracy is uncanny.....hits a moving target as well as any QB I've seen come out of college recently....even when that target is further down the field than you think...

But he has to start from the beginning too....taking snaps from under center....dropping back....hitching...going through progressions....etc.....any time you see a quarterback constantly in the shotgun and looking back to the sidelines every play to get directions (which is all of these spread quarterbacks nowdays)...you automatically know you've got problems transitioning to the NFL...

Jimmy Clausen was the guy I said I'd take over all these guys before the season even started despite how popular it was to trash him at the time.....he's got everything he needs to make a very good NFL quarterback once he matures a little bit and realizes his **** really does stink...
