We wont be able to get Wayne. I like Randle El. He would help our WRs and give us an extra qb on the roster. A playmaker like him would help boost us. He would fit perfectly in the slot with Chambers and Booker. I say we go after him. GO FINS!!!

Yeah I think Cowher would keep him too. Though, Randle El said he wouldn't mind rejoining Mularkey. He and Booker can run the reverse WR pass. That play is money! The Steelers executed that play successfully all year long.

I would love Randle El, but I doubt he will leave the SB champs. You will se him in black and gold next year. Givens however may be a viable option.

This, of course, is a simple decision for the Colts to make. Harrison is old and on the decline. But I wonder if Wayne is good enough to beat double coverage when Harrison is gone although they can probably get someone better before then.

I imagine anyone who thought he'd be leaving in the first place were dreaming as well. But with his ties to SF, it doesn't surprise me that there were people who thought he might come back. That said, it's very prudent for the Colts to re-sign him or franchise him. Edge plays an important role for them, but one that can be replaced easier than Wayne or Harrison. This coming season will be the end of their window if they don't get it done. After that they are really in cap he!!.

I'd like to see us upgrade our 3rd WR spot, but it's not as critical as several other positions that need upgrade. Spend money on QBs, CBs, LBs before you go WR....Booker and CC do a very good job and coming up with someone who can compliment them thru lower cost FAs or the draft less of a hit than the other positions....At the worst case, we go into next season with Gilmore and Welker as our backup WRs...their not too bad, although Gilmore has the tools, but seems to not produce when he does have the opportunities. Welker is ok as our 3rd WR, not spectacular. He does a very good job on returns though...

I'd rather see us get Grady Jackson or Hutch or Bentley or a Lb than a WR....

I second that.

I am not surprised, it would be much harder to replace Wayne in that offense than James IMO.

Why. We can draft this QB from Penn State as a WR in the 4th-5th rd

No doubt...his flexibility would give Saban a major weapon. Plus, he's always said that he'd like to play for Mike Mularkey again. It will be interesting......
