He was released because he was due an 8.5 million dollar bonus tomorrow or the next day if they kept him. He is not worth paying that much money and evidently the Rams thought the same thing. It was basically a one year deal for the Rams. They knew from the get go they had no intention of paying him the bonus money.

Sanders is a stud, but he can't stay healthy and apparently neither can Atogwe. I'd love it if they brought Sanders or Atogwe in and paired one of them up with either Bell or Jones. IMO Clemens has good speed, but he doesn't have the instincts to be a good safety in the NFL. Clemens did improve from his rookie year and I know he's got the speed. Something is just "off" about Clemens... He looks like a really fast baby Giraffe out there.
 
atogwe is a big upgrade at FS, but with all the guys we currently have...idk. We need pass defense bad, and I think he would help. Imagine also getting champ bailey...w00000t.
 
I don't see it happening. The Dolphins were interested last year before they ended up having to develop their young talent. Now they have an experienced young player that can only get better and another young player behind him that is showing promise. I don't see them allocating resources in this area.
 
Hmmmmm, might as well bring both in and see who can last through camp. LOL, on a serious note though, either player would be a upgrade at the position, shame they cant stay healthy.
 
I would be happy to pick up either of them.. So we can sign them tomorrow if we want or do we have to wait for the new CBA?
 
Maybe we can actually pull this off this year. Why not get Nnamdi too? lol
We could have the most difficult names to pronounce in any secondary in the league.
 
atogwe is the lone free agent defensive player we need to go after, we get him and cut bell
 
Really hope we go after him. Not at the money he was due from the Rams though.
