Gamble signs 6-year extension with Panthers

1 hour, 6 minutes ago

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—The Panthers have signed cornerback Chris Gamble to a six-year contract extension that will keep him in Carolina through the 2014 season.
Agent Carl Poston would not reveal the financial figures, but said it makes Gamble one of the top five paid cornerbacks in the NFL.
Gamble was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. The 2004 first-round pick is having one of his best seasons.
Gamble’s 19 interceptions rank second in team history.

good, i would rather have a shot at malcom jenkins or vonate davis if they were availalbe in the first round to us (doubt it though) since we are most likey going to be drafting from 14-20, depending on how the season finishes out

Nice move by the Panthers.

This probably means that either Julius Peppers or Jordan Gross will be let go. That would be a lot of money to tie up in 3 players.

good if i were to pick, i'd take marshall or lucas anyday over gamble.
