NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Browns management is pushing to take a quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick.

The rookie had better be ready for a lot of third-and-longs if Cleveland can't upgrade from Jamal Lewis in the second or third round.

Our pipe dreams have ended. Quinn or Russell will be Browns. Now this can help us because if Adrian Peterson last to the 9th pick we will have plenty trade partners. This could help us trade down and select more players that can step in and play right away. Especially if it helps us select Olsen and Kalil.

I hope it's Russell meaning the Raiders drafted Calvin Johnson, plus the Browns GM has followed Russell's career since high school. But yea, the odds are getting slimmer now that Quinn has impressed at Pro Day. I really hoped he'd have fallen flat then. But with Browns already having two prospects in Frye and Anderson, drafting another QB doesn't seem like the best thing for them after the Tim Couch debacle. They need a young RB, LB, DT, and DE, so it might be better for them to trade down.

Good, now we can start focusing on reality for a change. Quinn was never an option to begin with....

PHINZ RULE!!!!!

Was hoping we could finally get a franchise QB. I would take BPA at 9 if Quinn is gone. I'm hoping Landry drops to us in that case. I would not let Peterson get by us as it wouldn't sicken me to see him fall into the Bills hands without them having to make a move. I can't see ATL or SF taking him as they definitely don't need a RB. It's obviously not a need, bit I agree that we should try to force some hands to move up and take him, buying us another first day pick.

Good, that guy just is way too risky IMO...I watched almost every ND game and whenever he was pressured he crumbled and made mistakes, with our OL he wouldnt be very good imo...If CLE takes him I will be ecstatic, I dont see him being great unless he's in the right system..

The more I've read on Kevin Kolb from Houston, the more I think we should nab this guy in the 3rd round. Quinn would have been nice, but it's not to be at this point.

I read somewhere recently that Phil Savage of the Browns has apparently told Jamarcus that if Oakland dont take him, the Browns definately will.

Who knows what to believe heading into the draft.

Seriously though, as if the Raiders would pass on a guy like Calvin Johnson. Even if they dont keep him, they can pick up some extra picks if they choose to trade him somewhere.

At this point, I see the fdraft going a little like this;

Oakland - Calvin Johnson
Detroit - Brady Quinn
Cleveland - JaMarcus Russell
Tampa - Gaines Adams
Arizona - Joe Thomas
Washington - Jamaal Anderson
Minnesota - Tedd Ginn Jr.
Houston - Adrian Peterson
Miami - ?? (I'd take LaRon Landry)

It'll sure be interesting.

Honestly, I'd love to move up to #4 for Calvin Johnson.

Man, this guy is going to be an All Pro.......

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins are interested in speaking with Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn, and could bring him to visit as part of their annual visits of college players. They could be considering a scenario where they trade up to the No. 2 overall pick, where the Detroit Lions are listening to offers. The Dolphins currently have the No. 9 pick in the draft, and also have two second-round picks.

It gets better now there are rumors we might trade up. One thing is for sure Mueller and Cameron have one thing right, they know there aint no SB without a Franchise QB. Im telling you I really like the agressivness we are showing towards the QB position. The Green rumor were first now we are thinking of Trading up, I love this time of the year. More important I love how we are being so agressive towards the QB position.

I agree in part. I definitely do like the assertiveness they are showing so far, especially when contrasted to how indecisive about everything Saban was. I will be excited if they somehow get Quinn, at least at first. However, I am not thrilled at the prospect of trading a bunch of picks to do so, especially when we need more bodies (talented ones). The fact that the team has failed to draft a QB with an early pick in so many years is probably making a lot of us (myself included) a lot more willing to throw caution to the wind, but I know, even while I would be excited to have a young stud QB for the first time since 1983, I would be scared at the same time. If it is the wrong decision, these are the kind of things that set franchises back 5 years or more a lot of the time.

Don't get carried away,

all your going to see in the next few weeks, is innuendo and bs posturing, take it with a grain of salt.

I'm hoping this trade up rumor proves true. Cameron's been interested in Quinn for a while and the fact that we have Quinn's old mentor in Shea makes it more likely. If it's a fair trade up, I wouldn't mind it if we finally draft a QB in the 1st round since Marino. And if Cameron and Mueller think Quinn's worth it, then they'll make it happen.

Keep in mind that every team with a top ten pick is gonna create some kind of noise about taking Russell or Quinn so someone else will trade with them. There were so many rumors last year of who was taking who, and look Leinart fell all the way to the Cards at #10. Nobody predicted that. Still I would love to see Mueller dupe us all and trade up to take Quinn.
