Former Fins Charles Harris quietly having a good season

So far this season he has more sacks with the Lions than he ever did here in three years as a Dolphins. He's often used in here as some type of validation for draft failure, but the fact that he has been improving from season to season is actually great for him. So far he has 6 sacks, and two of those came last week.

I always admitted that he was a guy I liked coming out. Happy to see him doing something other than be a complete bust.

Billy Turner is another 'bust' that has made a decent living in the NFL after leaving Miami. For some reason we just are not good as a franchise in developing raw players.

The issue seems to go back through multiple coaching regimes so it's not just one person's fault. Almost seems like a franchise curse. The Ghost of Shula or the like.

A change of scenery or getting traded for a 7th rounder and that team not picking up your 5th year option probably impacts your motivation a little bit. Glad he decided to start acting like a pro.

I wouldn’t overstate Harris’s effectiveness. Detroit is terrible. I will be shocked if Harris is ever a game-changing pass rusher on a decent team, and he is abysmal against the run. Not a good combination.

First round picks are busts after 3 games if they aren't leading the NFL in sacks.

He was over drafted by the Dolphins. Yet he was a player who obviously needed several years to develop into the player he is today. That happens with players drafted in the mid to late rounds on occasion and he was only considered a bust because he was not productive as a first round pick for the Dolphins.

It’s nice to see he has finally had some success in the NFL.
