Former Fins Charles Harris quietly having a good season

You're right!! It's a win for all sides. The Dolphin's are just fine without both!!
Although we haven’t had a single good kick or punt return this year but we still have had the muffs and fumbles (Waddle 2 and Holland 1) so I’d say we miss him.

More importantly though, we need a specialist - I don’t like the aforementioned guys returning kicks. Troy Vincent, anyone? Just flirting with disaster.

Mike Mayock filled everybody's head with a bunch of nonsense when he was a TV draft analyst spewing all that 1st round garbage about Darkplace Harris. Many still can't let go of it.

As much has Harris has been available, Mayock has never once tried to acquire him since he's been a GM in the NFL.

I agree. It just seems we haven't had a coach who could develop players since Jimmy Johnson... and even he coasted along the last year or two. Its been a long time.
The offensive players haven’t developed well under this coaching staff. Especially the OL and RB’s.

On defense though, I think the coaches have done a good job of developing many of their players. Ogbah has played better in Miami than with his previous teams. Phillips has developed quite a bit during his rookie season. Howard has had his best years under this coaching staff and Holland is one of the best rookies in the league.

Sieler, Davis and Wilkins have all developed into quality defensive linemen under this coaching staff. Baker is better than he was under the Gase regime and Van Ginkel has developed into a starting LB instead of a career backup.

Brandon Jones and Nik Needham are much better players today than they were prior to joining the Dolphins.

So while the offensive coaches have not been successful in developing many of the players on that side of the ball. I believe the defensive coaches have done a very good job of developing many of the players on defense.

A change of scenery or getting traded for a 7th rounder and that team not picking up your 5th year option probably impacts your motivation a little bit. Glad he decided to start acting like a pro.
I watched the way he played here and wouldn't say it was from lack of desire. He just wasn't good enough here.

I always pulled for the kid. I know most people dont care about the players social medias, was he was always mature and football orientated in his stories. not all the clown **** like half these kids. Cam Wake talked up his training habits more than anyone, and next to TB12, Cam was prob one of the most disciplined players i've ever read about as far as living a football lifestyle built for longetivity.

when we drafted him he didnt look much like a scheme fit, much like i didnt think Watt would be good for us due to our defensive scheme.

but for what its worth, my pick wouldnt been much better, because at that spot i wanted to draft Rub Foster, F Lamp, or trade back several spots for Zay Jones.

but back to topic now, Harris is a LB for the first time in his career so maybe he will actually put up numbers.

And unlike what someone above said, this has nothing to do with a shitty player getting 20 points on a shitty basketball team. one of the dumbest analogies I've ever heard football related.

A shitty player on a shitty defense is still shitty and gonna get 0-2 sacks. Somebody has to throw the ball at the hoop every time up and down the court, I'm a Hornets fan, Kemba Walker was that guy, now he;s out of rotation on a good knicks squad 2-3 years later
