BRANDON WEEDEN: Oklahoma State, 6034 221 4.94. Two-year starter who is a former minor league pitcher in the Yankee and Royal farm systems. He tore a labrum and had tendinitis in his rotator cuff that ended his baseball career. Will be 29 years old on his October 2012 birthday. Possesses a strong arm and a sudden release. Big, strong, and accurate. A natural passer who can make all three level passes – short, medium, and long. Impressive deep ball accuracy. Played for two different offensive coordinators in 2010 and 2011 and demonstrated weekly improvement. A pocket passer who plays with his feet under him. Excellent anticipation and ball placement. Poised in the pocket. He lets the play develop. Does a nice job of looking off the safeties with his eyes and a shoulder shake. Can throw passes in windy conditions. Runs the pistol offense that incorporates a downhill running game and quick passes. Clutch third-down passer. Throws the ball through some very tight windows or over the top on fade routes. Uses the bubble screen as a long handoff. A deadly passer when he gets to his spot and sets up. Confidence in his arm. Throws back shoulder passes with good velocity. Weeden is a student of the game and a good decision maker. He is a competitor with good intelligence. A good athlete, but not elusive or a natural runner. Two years of rare production. 2011 stats: 408/564, 4727 yds, 72.3%, 37 TDs, 13 INTs. Ball velocity 59 mph. Did not work out at Combine. Numbers from his pro day 3/8/12. Second round. (A-31 3/4, H-9 5/8, SS-4.49, VJ-32).

i completely disagree with this portion of the tannehill evaluation...at least from what i have seen in the pros...his id skills at the los are very good he accounts for free rushers well and at least his first 2 years set up his protections well

the brandon weeden part about "a good decision maker" has completely turned out to be false...especially if he takes any contact which he never took at okla state...

overall i think those reports are pretty hit and miss just about like everything else i see...

i do think this about jawaun james coming out was spot on...i definitely see improved hand placement and technique period and he absolutely needs to get stronger
