Waaay back in preseason, everyone had many a forecast on the team and players. There was Tannehill, Clay, paying Hartline, keeping Clemons, signing Ellerbe and Wheeler, etc, etc, etc.

Time to fess up. Who and what were you on the money on, and how much crow and humble pie is being served?

I thought Lamar Miller would have a breakout year, I didn't think Clay would be able to step up., and I thought Jon Martin would develop into a decent LT. I had a lot of confidence in Tannehill and our receivers, as well as our pass defense being much improved. oh and Jamar Taylor--really saw him making an impact by now.

2013 Record: 11-5
Playoffs: Yes, Wildcard we win one playoff game before our youth and playoff inexperience does us in.
Defensive Player Of The Year: Brent Grimes
Offensive Player Of The Year: Ryan Tannehill
Rookie Of The Year: Dion Jordan
Brief Statement: Admittedly the roster is pretty thin in a lot of important areas, however one area we are thankfully deep at, is at Quarterback. There will be some drop off if Tannehill is injured, but Matt Moore can easily win a couple games if Tannehill is out. Here's hoping we don't see any injuries (long term) at WR, Linebacker and LT. Speaking of WR's, Mike Wallace will do what he was brought here to do, and open up the entire offense, allowing even our young, inexperienced tight ends to get some catches across the middle. I think we'll be really good between the 20's and I'm hopeful our O-line will bring it together in the red zone and really manhandle the guys in front of them, allowing our running backs to finish drives with a touchdowns instead of field goals like recent years. Finally It should be fun watching our championship caliber defense dismantle a lot of good offenses. At this point, I'm certain our defense can do something even our previous "great" defenses couldn't... get off the field on third downs.

did you post that before the season? pretty good, man..

I predicted a record of 9-7, though I wouldn't mind being one game off and seeing us go 10-6.

Wow, very good on some(Grimes,Tannehill). As far as the defense, they have not been great imo......blew a few leads this year and almost blew the last 2 games. The playoffs can happen for sure too.

Ozzy rules!!

Predicted 10-6
Tannehill with 24TD to 12Ints at 4000 yards
Had Lamar Miller between 1200-1400 yards

Not bad. Not great either.

2013 Record: 9-7
Playoffs: *sigh* Not yet.
Defensive Player Of The Year: Cameron Wake
Offensive Player Of The Year: Lamar Miller
Rookie Of The Year: Dion Jordan
Brief Statement: It all hinges on Tanny's continuing development. You can't do **** without consistent quality at QB. If Tanny finds his groove and stays there, we'll go 12-4 & take the Division. I just don't think he's quite there yet.

:idk:
Meh - here's to hoping I undersold us. :ffic:

I looked at some of my posts before the season, here's a few (can't link vip threads).

You predicted dolphins sweep the jets?
I agree but 10-6.
http://www.finheaven.com/showthread.php?342652-We-will-make-the-playoffs-IF

If we sweep the jets/bills and win one versus the pats
If the secondary and O line can stay healthy
If Sturgis can be a clutch kicker

I went with 10-6. That's a 3 game jump from last season but i think we were a bit better than our record showed. I am relying on the defense to be a top 5 unit as long as the secondary can stay healthy, big if there. It may take the offense a few games to get in sync but i see the unit as a whole being vastly improved. The season hinges on afc east games, i know we say it every year but we have to take care of business in the east, it's the easiest path to the playoffs.

On the money for firing Ireland since 2009.

I said 10 and 6 with the wildcard so I still got a shot at getting one right for a change :brewskis:

I think I had Miller at 1,000 yards which ain't gonna happen.

I was wrong on Martin being OK at LT. The farm did make his body stronger but, not the head. Also, missed on Jerry becoming a complete OG, VG on the pass, grandmother like on the run.

I did like keeping Hartline, Clemons, Carroll, and was in Clay's corner as well as DT's. I also overvalued Ellerbe and Wheeler in their first year (my jury's still out).

On RT, I think I had him for 4,000 yards, 25 TD's, and 15 picks. Anyone have that thread where we predicted what he would do?
