I am now completely jacked up on this guy. Branden Albert. Plays guard in college, but played left tackle for 2 games due to an injury. 6'7" 315lbs and major athleticism. Just watch the second half of this video. He is going to be a bad dude. We need to find a way to get him!

I am now officially starting the draft Branden Albert Bandwagon.

well id have to say how he tests out at the combine first. very interesting prospect though. i really doubt he is there at 32 though if he tests out well. still would prefer an anthony collins or a sam baker to him right now though. on the flip side after watching that video, im even more certain long is not a LT.

As a Virginia fan I've watched him since he first stepped onto the field. He was one of the top 3 linemen recruits the year he came out of high school, some publications had him rated #1 overall as a left tackle. Fortunately for UVA, we had 2 insanely good linemen vying to replace D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Albert ended up being pushed inside to G, but he's definitely got the talent to play LT in the pros.

I think he's really slid in under the radar because he played G and UVa wasn't all that good recently, but make no mistake about it, he's big, he's athletic, he's physically strong, he's got good footwork, he's smart, and he rarely gets injured. Some team is going to be extremely pleased when they find out just how good of a player they drafted.

Haha funny post. Albert was just rated as the best interior linemen by Mike Mayock of NFL Network. he said hes the 20th best linemen overall but the best interior. He is showing great videos of him. You were correct Digital about his athleticism. Hes definitelly a great prospect. He also stated that he is athletic enough to play LT. Great posting by the TS and by Digital.

No way there are 19 better linemen the Albert. No way in hell.

I could hop on that bandwagon. I was a Chris Williams guy at 32, maybe this guy grades out right up there. Love seeing him flatten guys.

Mayock has Albert rated as the 20th best player in the draft, not 20th lineman.

As we approach the draft, this player is going to sneak into the top 10 as a LT prospect. I would bet on it.

I believe he said lineman. He said he could move up on his list quickly after a strong combine showing. He predicted him going possible late first round. Mayock than showed his videos which were very impressive including one where he is directing the RB to run behind him about 20 yards down field.

wow... he is so powerfull .. I am not sure we draft him but he looks like a percels type of O-lineman... big strong and powerfull

Count me as a member of that bandwagon

why not leave him at gaurd in place of lewinski? and still pick up a tackle? i do agree about his athleticism and ability to play both does not hurt.

Ditto.

"Will struggle against elite speed rushers" is not a phrase I want associated with #1 draft pick that is supposed to be a LT...

if miami is trying to focus on the OL, they should trade back and draft Jake Long to use at RT, then use #32 on this Brendan Albert guy to play LG. then if Hadnot doesnt re-sign, Mormino can plug into RG. then ur set. and ur OL is probably the youngest in the league.
