On "NFL GameDay Morning," NFL Network insider Jason LaCanfora acknowledged the rumors swirling around Bill Parcells and a potential departure from the Miami Dolphins' front office after the season.

LaCanfora's report:
There are a lot of people who believe Dolphins [vice president of football operations] Bill Parcells will explore his options after this year. He can get out of his contract if he likes, and we’ve already seen Cleveland talking about looking for a football czar as well as four or five other teams looking to change people atop their management paradigm. If he were to leave Miami, Carl Peterson is a name to keep an eye on. Long-time runner of the Kansas City Chiefs, Peterson could go to Miami. He has a strong relationship with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, and [Dolphins general manager] Jeff Ireland used to work with Peterson in Kansas City. So that would be a natural transition.

Frankly I am ready for him to leave. It has nothing to do with our performance today. He has been here 2 years and every year this rumor surfaces, he pulled the same crap in Dallas. Lets just move on and let Bill polish his legacy in Cleveland.

The only thing I don't want to see is Carl Peterson!
 
I agree. If he wants to leave go. That can open the door for the departure of Henning. Not sure I want Peterson in here but I am almost expecting it. The only other option may be to promote Ireland and hire a new GM.

I said this about Parcells when we hired him! He is a football mercenary, and since his days at the Pats he cuts and runs when it shows he can't get it done. I am sick of this and it just won't stop! You know why? Because Parcells will not end the rumor he keeps it going looking for his next big pay day. The Miami Dolphins Franchise and their fans deserve more loyalty!
 
Honestly I wouldn't mind Peterson stepping in. Maybe he'll be more aggressive in FA

Personally I would like to see Ireland promoted if Parcells leaves. But who would we bring in?? And would Peterson keep Ireland and Tony if he came in??

I hate to say it and I know Ted will agree with me, but if Parcells goes we will need to clean house. You can bet he will rape our staff, guys like Lee will go and become OC while we get stuck with Henning. If he abandons us and I am Ross I bring in my own people loyal to me.

You're right. He demands loyalty but doesn't seem to give in return. Althouh I doubt he leaves, if he does, thank you and lets move forward.

I think it will happen, I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves in a week or two. If it wasn't close the Browns would have hired Holgram already. I say GET OUT!

CARL PETERSON my god.. i should not of said this day could not get worst.. knowing this may happen puts tears in my eyes. So much for the years to come... You know i really do not like Jeff.god Jimmy Johnson really **** up this team and all the ****ers that came after him and tony has lately been working becoming a reject. If he fires Henning before we face NE and get a offensive coach that knows what the fu*k they are doing he will be making the smartest head coach choice in history.

Screw Fat Bill......it is just like when Bo Schembechler told some basketball coach to get the hell away from Michigan after he accepted a job elsewhere. We need a guy who wants to be here and somebody who loves the Phins. Bill just loves the media smooching his big backside and taking all the credit for teams turning themselves around.....last I checked though, the players and coaches are the ones who win or lose games. Ohhh and thanks for not drafting a quality Wide Receiver last year Bill....I guess you also think Ginn is a #1 WR. :rolleyes2:
