It looks more and more like we won't be picking at #2 :DThe Washington Redskins, who hold the ninth and 25th picks, seem to be Miami's most likely trade partner, but the Dolphins also have discussed trade parameters with Tampa Bay and Minnesota.
The Cleveland Browns, who hold the third pick, also joined the trade talks with Miami in recent days.
Every team Miami talked to reportedly wants one of two players: Michigan receiver Braylon Edwards or Utah quarterback Alex Smith.
The Redskins are so focused on Edwards that the player's representative, Peter Schaffer, confirmed Friday that Washington called to set up a meeting to talk about Edwards. That meeting was supposed to happen in the evening and possibly include contract discussions.
Although the Redskins might not have the necessary equity in their two first-round picks to acquire Miami's No. 2 pick, it is possible they can also trade receiver Rod Gardner, a four-year starter and former first-round selection.
The Dolphins likely won't decide whether to trade down or use their pick until sometime around 12:17 p.m. today, when they get 15 minutes on the draft clock.
