Caught the last few minutes of the game as Fox switched to extra game coverage and heard the commentators talking about JT. While they did give JT major props, they also mentioned that he's playing on the level of Julius Peppers or something along those lines. I'm not ripping on Julius Peppers and I think he's a great player but after a performance like today and the past few weeks, it should be more along the lines of J Taylor is playing like one of the best DEs EVER!!! I checked Pepper's stats today and I'm not even sure he played because he had 0 stats. If anything Peppers should be referred to as JT as JT has been doing it longer than Peppers. Did you guys catch this? What did you think of it? Am I over reacting?

I didn't hear that and Peppers did play today just didn't do anything.

I agree. JT has been doing it for alot longer and consistently over his career.

Ridiculous. Peppers is playing on JT's level. Taylor's been a great player for a long time. Peppers is a hell of a player but it should take a few years to earn greatness in this league. Perception can be idiotic sometimes.

Over the past several weeks, JT has been simply unstopable. Best ever, I don't know, Deacon Jones, Reggie White, Bruce Smith are just a few guys that were unstopable as well.

They only said that because Peppers is the Defensive Flavor of the Year this year. I agree, when he's done it as long as JT has, then you compare them.

ive heard talk about JT defensive player of the year

if we only had a good quarterback and line to go along with our defense =[

JT could be the Defensive player of the year, gotta keep it going though. Best ever though, my opinion, hands down Deacon Jones.

Agreed. If anything they should be comparing Peppers to Taylor.

Let's be honest, most of the commentators are a bunch of idiots anyways who have no true insight on the game. Today on the countdown everyone was talking about the Green Bay Packers as if they were Green Bay of 97' and talking about the Patriots as if they were New England of 92'. Unreal.

Commentators are the worst at getting caught up in moment, and have a hard time analyzing consistency over a long period of time.

P.S Theres not another team I love to see lose more than New England, so don't take my comments the wrong way, I just found it absurd.

No knock on Peppers, but JT has taken over the last three games and almost singlehandedly put the Fins back on track, whereas Carolina's success has hinged entirely on the health of Steve Smith. Taylor is by far the most crucial piece of this team, which the same cannot be said for Peppers.

Peppers is a good de that is hyped up beyond belief because he weighs 290 pounds and can run fast.

I'm confuse

 Peppers wasn't with Salt in a duet?
Jason Taylor IS THE BEST DL in the leage right now.GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:
