Fox Sports: AFC East!

Man, 3 things of good news in this piece.

Lance Schulters wants to play here.

David Bowens is staying, and looked excellent at practice in the new scheme.

We really might be taking Manny Wright, and we need a young DT ever so badly.

do not worry about preseason hype...

who cares if other people think our team is good or not...

it will all be solved come regular season time....

this will be a good team, how good ? we will see...

that is the fun of this whole "new" regime...

how much difference will a decent coach/and coaches make?

Anyone else think thye part about Saban being on the outs with the media is nonsense? Saban is the man and I am happy as a fan that he doesn't hand our offseason gameplan over to the media. They overrate their impact on his tenure.

Very accurate report of the dolphins imo

Yeah, they stuck to the facts. They didnt really throw anything negative at us other than the "they could certainly struggle" tidbit. Which isnt that far fetched considering the growing pains that come along with a new system. I for one think we will suprise those that feel we arent much improved from last years squad. Its pretty hard not to notice the major upgrades throughout the teams roster and coaching staff. Once this is proved on the field, we'll get our respect.

I think Bowens has been overlooked by a lot of people. But, this guy was a standout OLB at Michigan. He may fit into the new scheme perfectly, alternating between DE and LB.

Why is it that Drew couldn't do it and now the Lostman will.
Same team same OL, was Bledsoe that bad, did he loose the game against Steelers second stringers?
So last season was one man's fault.

same OLine except a diffrent LOG, and LOT. the LOG will be an improvement, but i think the OT is a downgrade of what we used to have...

bledsoe had his strengths and his weaknesses. but we saw agenst the steelers that he has more weaknesses than strengths now. JP is the future. and he better get started sooner rather than later. we want to know what he can do. we want to see him play. 1st round QB, with alot of tallent around him, a strong defense, and a good running game. we arnt going to ask him to win the game for us. just dont make mistakes, and make good solid passes.

for the record, i think rothlesburger is over rated, and was not the main reason that team did what they did.

every team needs a fall guy for a loosing season. bledsoe took the bullet because he was owned by the backup steelers.

I'm not sure. The Pats went 0-4 (?) until Drew went down and then Brady took over and their dynasty was born.

Drew didn't lose the entire season for us by himself. He was however a liability and part of the problem. You don't want the most important position on your O to be part of a problem.

Good read but I wished they would talk about more stuff than just Ricky coming back.

Actually, I think that's not such a bad thing. That takes the pressure off some of the other guys and maybe, just maybe, denies opposing teams a little bit of useful information about our team.

Hey, Justa nice analysis, I think you made some good points.
Without any playing time is hard to judge what Losman will do, just like AJ having a fiasco of a coaching staff and one of the poorest orgs in the league is being blamed for all the Fins problems.
What I found interesting about the Bills is that they folded when it counted the most, not unlike Miami in 2003 and 2002.
Both our Ds have great stats but don't seem to have the heart of a winner, I believe it's all about coaching.
Your thoughts please.

Aj was also part of a problem. Granted that there were too many problems w/ your team that no one really knows where AJ stands, I just haven't seen too many upsides w/ AJ to say that he has what it takes to be a starter. I know you guys mighht consider this smack but IMHO, I see Aj as another Fiedler. A back-up qb.

As for Losman, could be a Leaf or could be a Farve. So far the reports have been positive. I've seen him play at camp to say he doesn't look like a bust but Rob Johnson was an awsome camp qb but sucked at official games.

The difference between JP and Rob/Leaf is that he studies and does his homework. He goes beyond what was asked of him.No one questions his work ethic. Trying to do more than what is asked of him could be a problem. If he tries to over do things on the field that could cost us or win us games.
