Although WR David Boston will be given a chance to make the starting lineup, playing him on a lot of downs might not be the best idea because of his injury problems. Doctors have cleared Boston to fully participate in the offseason program, but the Dolphins are taking it slowly with him initially in workouts. Although playing a lot of downs might appeal to Boston's ego, a better solution in terms of production might be to play in only three-receiver sets. Because offensive coordinator Scott Linehan likes three-wide sets so much, there will be ample opportunity for Boston in those situations alone. Better yet, Boston could get better matchups against less talented defensive backs in the three-wide sets. . . .

I am really excited about this 3-wide set. I am glad to see that Saban is taking things slowly with him to make sure he is 100 percent healthy.

Thanks Nub. Interesting article. I agree with their assessment that Boston is better suited for #3 until he can prove hes healthy. With his size and speed he would be very difficult for 3rd Cb's to match up with.

I really like what they are saying about Carter.

IMPACT NEWCOMER:Even as he enters his 11th season, Kevin Carter remains one of the most talented defensive linemen in the league. Moreover, his ability to play both end and tackle gives the Dolphins exactly the type of versatility they need. The Dolphins are expected to play a lot of different fronts on defense, and Carter is going to be the lynchpin. Carter can still pass rush effectively from the left end spot and has always held up well at the point of attack against the run. Over the years, his inside pass rush has improved to the point that he said recently that he prefers to play there in passing situations. Carter will play no matter the situation.

I never saw his as being anything more than a 3 when we resigned him. I think Chambers and Booker are locked in at 1 and 2 and like Boik said, Boston will give any teams 3rd corner fits.

Do you thinkBoston will play in the slot or be split out wide on the three reciever sets? It seems he would be better off split out wide, with either Chambers or Booker in the slot. Any opinions?

Me too--to start with anyhows--think of the match ups Boston can have with second rate DB's.........and then McMike and Ronnie,Ricky out of the backfield.

hey Nub do you do private sigs

Cool site Nub, Its a good thing sban is bieng careful with Boston, so he doesnt get hurt again.

Yeah, I started making sigs for people. If you want me to make you one, just reply to this thread stating what you want(you may or may not get it today, since I have another one to do yet).

Me too. I can't wait to see this defense in action.....

Boston needs to just stay healthy IMO. Saban's disciplinarian style wont hurt either. Boston needs direction, and hopefully he'll change his ways this year.

It's also do or die for Boston, if he screws this up, he's done. It's crazy to imagine because Boston is still a pretty young guy. We'll see what happens....

PHINZ RULE!!!

HEY NUBLAR WHATS UP MAN HEY I WOULD LIKE A SIG WITH R.BROWN IF YOU COULD AND ADD A H2 IN THERE AND THE BACKGROUND OF MIAMI AND JUST SAYING THIS IS MIAMI'S #1 PICK OR SOMETHING. :D

I wish they'd put Chambers in the slot when we have 3 WRs on the field. He was so good his rookie year in the slot. Boston can take any corner when he's in there, but Chambers would be sooooooo much better if he's taking on a mediocre guy.

Here you go:

Also, please host this sig with either Photobucket(or some other hosting site) or your FinHeaven Photo album. I need to minimize my photobucket bandwidth. With all these sigs I am making, it is very possible that it might overload and everybody would lose them. Thanks.
