FOX Sports: "Mock draft 6.0: Brady Quinn shake-up"

No way Peterson makes it to #12. Small chance the Bills get him, but not at #12.

If we took Okoye over Landry, I'd be pretty upset. And even though everyone will say that we shouldn't take a safety, Landry is an amazing athlete and can be a game changer. Jason Allen is probably better suited to be CB anyway.

I don't see why you'd be upset. Landry's great, but Okoye has the upside to be every bit as good. I think you couldn't go wrong with either.

I know we probably don't really need a RB, but if Peterson is there at #9 and we don't take him, I am going to be sick. :rolleyes:

If Peterson is there at 9, that's a perfect opportunity to trade down :).

Exactly.....I would use the full 15 minutes when our turn comes up (if I were the Phins) to wait for all the GM's offering us extra picks for AP. :tongue:

One of the busiest teams this off-season, the Dolphins defense picked up Joey Porter and DB Cameron Worrell, but lost Dan "Big Daddy" Wilkinson in the middle.

I wouldn't say we "lost" Wilkinson. Okoye wouldn't really fill that void or any need. We're pretty stacked at DE, which is what Okoye would have to play in a 3-4 unless he gains weight.

This is why you don't take Peterson...and why he may slip;

In My latest Mock I have Oklahoma HB Adrian Peterson slipping to the Falcons at pick #10...the possibility exists that Peterson could slip out of the top 10 of the Draft completely if he gets past the Browns pick at #3 because none of the teams picking after Cleveland have an urgent need for a HB in the Draft...the other reason is Peterson didn't perform well in the 20 yd short shuttle drill (a drill that determines a players ability to change direction) at the Combine...he was timed at 4.40 and 4.42 in the drill which is way below average for a back...however...Peterson had company because HB Marshawn Lynch of Cal turned in a horrible 4.55.

Yes it is, if we can at least break even in the trade--if not come out on top. But to play devil's advocate for a second...

Ronnie, while not a blocking back, did block for Caddy at Auburn in some situations. Ronnie has the temperament to share the load with another back without it becoming a problem, and he's a great receiver out of the backfield. If Peterson fell to #9 and Cam/Mueller both felt he was significantly better than the guys who were left--but they couldn't get enough in a trade to move down... he could end up a Dolphin.

It's not like you'd have to stash one of them in mothballs for a year. Cam would find a way to use them both, not unlike Dallas, New Orleans, Chicago, and New England--just to name a few. It would create some hellacious match up problems for a defense, and if we're trying to protect a young QB we'll be running a lot.

Ok, I'm done with being the devil. For a while... :fire: :lol:
