Fox Sports rates Cameron a downgrade.

Not even gunna read the article. How can a guy who hasn't coached a game yet be a downgrade? Especially when some media type pictured Saban as winning the SB in a few years?

Who cares? So some guy thinks Cam's a downgrade. The world keeps spinning

Someone needs to keep this guys email address handy so that when Cam starts pulling this team together he can be emailed to modify or scrap his grading system.

I have stop looking at fox sports for a long time. Nothing good ever comes from those people. Simply put FOX SPORTS SUCKS!!!

Just came across this link. Almost all the teams in here got a downgrade.

I think on the surface, if you're talking raw coaching ability, Saban may ultimately be ahead of Cameron.

BUT at the NFL level, Cameron appears to have more traits to be effective than did Saban. He's infinitely more friendly, a true innovator offensively, and he appears to fully aware of his strengths (offense) and weaknesses (defense). That's why he would agree to coming here w/ a D-genius like Capers. He also knows he has virtually no experience w/ personnel, and is, thus, heavily leaning on Mueller - who has shown he more than knows what he's doing in this regard.

Overall, Cameron certainly has the potential to be far more successful w/ us than Saban was (heck, Wannstache was :tantrum:). You would think Fox would have taken this into account, but they didn't.

Who cares anyways - the media (especially national media) tend to overexagerate the following:

-How good a team is when it's hot.
-How bad a team is when it's not.
-How great a move (FA, Draft) is when a hyped player is brought in.
-How bad a move (FA, Draft) is when a less-hyped player is brought in, or no hyped players at all are brought in.
-How good/bad a new coach is based on his name recognition (Saban came in w/ "Jesus-like" status by the media. Anyone who follows apparently is less than that).

So take it all w/ a grain of sodium! After all, weren't we supposed to be in the SuperBowl last year according to the media in August? :rolleyes2

All i know is, once Cameron leads us to the playoffs this season, all these so-called "analysts" will make themselves look foolish. Then i bet they will try to turn it around saying, "Oh yeah, i knew he was a good fit".

Downgrade?????? From What?????? NICK SABAN????????
How in the world could that be possible!!!! Uneducated people
trying to sell a paper.

JMO....But, Cam brings somthing of a stability, and, a professional
presence to an organization that needs those things badly. I admit I was all behind Saban, and, I've been behind all Dolphins HC choices at the time, but, for some reason, I think Cam's gonna be ok. Wait and see.

Just remember....lots of sportswriters predicted a SB for Miami last year...So...What is it that qualifies them to evaluate again? :D

What a load of crap. Cameron might turn out to be a downgrade, but there is no way to know that until 3 seasons or so from now. I hate when "experts" make these types of assessments.

Whatever grade Cameron receives from any journalist, analyst, or fan is not important, and has no weight. Cameron has just taken this job, and so far seems to be making a superb one. We'll see the grade he receives after the pre-season or the regular season.
