If they wanna pay to see a crappy team, that's on them. Besides, there were too many Halloween sluts out last night to be stuck at a football game.
 
Anyone who blames the fact that the Dolphins aren't putting a good product on the field is full of crap. The Redskins have sucked just as much the past 10 years and they have no problem filling their stadium. Maybe it's the fact that there aren't really a lot of Miami sports fans in that area; I don't really watch NBA, but I can remember the Heat games before they won championships were pretty empty.

I know the fans don't play the game, but having a full stadium does help with distracting the other team. It probably also helps the players moral when there is a full stadium there cheering for them. If I traveled the country seeing other stadiums being sold out and came home to an empty stadium, I would be pretty demoralized.

If he wants to present this same crappy product to a new city, I feel sorry for that city. Btw, I'm sure Los Angeles lost the Raiders, and Rams because they had great fans.
 
The fans don't make the Dolphins lose, but we have one of the worst home filed advantages in the league.

Worse teams with even worse winning history sell out their stadiums every game and I just don't understand why Miami cannot.

Because we don't wanna spend our money on crap, and don't care about other people's perception of us.

That's your choice, but it doesn't change the fact that the local fan base doesn't give us a home field advantage.
 
The Cleveland Browns sell out every game and they're horrible and have been for decades. This isn't as much about a winning team as it is about the fact that stadium is in a dumpy location in a dumpy city. Lets be honest, there's not many middle class family's in Miami. Its mostly low income with wealthy mixed in. I strongly believe if you put that stadium in West Palm the games will sell out. Or at least north broward. I live in Vero and on my way to games it seems like 75% of the fans attending are on the turnpike with me.
 
I just dont recall empty stadiums in Miami when the product was good granted most of that time was spent in the Orange Bowl. It might just be that the current design models for stadiums is to grandiose and just like everything else in life there is a limit to what can be supported.

So you're saying that teams throughout the state of Florida have trouble selling out in all sports, but West Palm Beach is the one magical hotspot where that won't happen? By God! Why didn't anyone think about it before!

The Bucs and the Jags aren't comparable. They have not been in the league as long nor do they have the history that this franchise has. This used to be a proud franchise and yes obviously when they were winning sell outs were a lot more common. But I don't think that the "casual" fan who may decide he would like to go instead of just watching at home lives close to that stadium. Most of the fans going drive a decent ways to go. This I'm sure deters a lot of fans who would go but would rather just stay home than drive the hour plus to get there. When I lived in Boca I had season tickets. A lot of my friends had and still have season tickets. Now that I live in Vero its a 2 1/2- 3 hour drive. That's just not happening every game so I go tp a couple. All I'm saying is most the fans live in broward or West Palm so if the stadium was in West Palm, tthere would be more people in the seats IMO. And please don't act like this is far fetched because its a well known fact
