There's a lot of talk about when the Dolphins will turn the corner and be a relevant team again. Experiencing how the other half lives hasn't been much fun over the last several years and starting from scratch to put the organization back together was long overdue. I love the fact that the scouting department was finally addressed in a big way. The whole organization needs to click in order for a championship to be in the future, but the key is Tony Sparano. The Dolphins had a coach in Don Shula who could take a team with break even talent and make it a playoff contender. There aren't too many coaches out there who can do that and, in essence, they are as rare as a franchise quarterback. Is it a coincidence that since Shula left the team has slowly gone down the tubes? We don't know what we have in Sparano, but the early signs are very encouraging in that he has that blue collar work ethic and relates well to players. How this translates on the field over the next several years will be interesting to watch. We've had average coaches and a few terrible ones. The Dolphins need to hit big with Sparano.
