Ok i have a stupid question but i really have no idea what the answer is so pls dont bash me just answer the question. when a player gets the Franchise tag are they automatically tied down to that team or do they have to sign or agree to the tag? what are the players that can get tagged? do they have to be RFA or can they be UFA?

1)Player cannot talk to other teams
2)Might or might not sign but every week he sits out he gets no pay
3)As he is not paid the cap is not hit and the team can franchise him for the same cost as he never accepted the deal and sat out.
4)If another team wants to do a sign of the player with out the original teams consent it can by giving the original team 2 first rounders [the original team has no say].
5)The orginial team can trade this player any time for anything as it owns the right .the misception is every one says franchise player if traded will get 2 first but its not true as it gets 2 1st rounder only when it does not agree to the terms.eg jets give 2 1st rounder and agree to terms with cassell then the pats cannot do anything but take the 2 no1s.
