True, that was a decade ago, when Gore was just 25, but given their history together and the way the two men approach football, it allowed them to be straight with one another when they were sorting out whether Gore might be a fit with the Miami Dolphins.
It’s not every day a free agent joins the Dolphins and refers to his new coach this way: “Coach Gase is a good coach, a good dude.” (Gore’s words.)
