Kearse was released to make room for Yeatman. He is expected to be put on the PS tomorrow assuming he clears waivers.

good timing many practice squads are filling up
we should have tried that with spears today :p

Would have cut one of the LB's first, but that is still coming I would guess.

Good luck keeping him from getting snatched before he makes it to the PS

really i doubt anyopne signs him, he was not highly regarded in college and has been nothing special here. He is a solid project

I think he's one of the safer bets to make it to the PS. Spears was at a position of relatively high priority and he had shown flashes in preseason, which is why he got snatched up quickly. That's probably the reason the Packers held on to all 5 TE's on their roster.
Meanwhile, Kearse is an unheard of 7th-rounder who didn't really distinguish himself when he got the chance (which is to be expected for a player making such a big jump in competition and switching from a 4-3 DT to a 3-4 NT). Let's see if he gets promoted during the season or (more likely) if he shows improvement next preseason.

I tend to think that means they're going to go with a DE as their #2 NT. Starks got some snaps there the first preseason game, and Ryan Baker and Tony McDaniels both got significant snaps there last year.

Given how fat Ryan Baker is looking these days, I'd tend to think he was the guy.

you obviously haven't paid much attention to how he's performed when he's gotten run...i'm gonna hold my breath that we can get him back on the p squad...cutting him for yeatman...ehhh...

how the heck does spitler still have a spot...i just don't get it...he's downright awful as a base ilb...

should have cut spitler imo. kearse was the only other true nt we had

I agree. While not surprised I would have gotten rid of one of the 10 LBs.

Um, did you see the blood on his face. Future pro bowler

I think Pittsburgh might be interested if I remember correctly. They had scouted him and planned on drafting him in the 7th round. We selected him before they got the chance. Who knows.

they look deep up front...lets hope they don't see him as an upgrade to anything they have

Yea cut Spitler and the only backups inside would be Edds and Mitchell.....

Kearse is a 7th round pick who is two yrs away from seeing the field....if someone wants to put him on the 53 then so be it, will not effect our season one bit.....

Dolphin fans cry about cutting anyone.....guys you can only have 53 players on the team with 45 dressed on gameday, sometimes you lose a good prospect but there will be others......
