Frank Kearse released

you obviously haven't paid much attention to how he's performed when he's gotten run...i'm gonna hold my breath that we can get him back on the p squad...cutting him for yeatman...ehhh...

how the heck does spitler still have a spot...i just don't get it...he's downright awful as a base ilb...
It's like the Dolphins are completely overlooking Spitler's name, the guy is hiding in the corner hoping they don't point at him.

If you think Dansby and Burnett will play every defensive down in the first game in the Miami heat your fooling yourself....

again I will defer to Coach Nolan on this one....

what on this earth makes you think spitler is gonna play snaps in the first game??? he's our 4th ilb...barring injury he'll be lucky to be active on game day and get run on specials

cant believe the amount of uproar of the axing of a FA who only played against 3rd & 4th stringers, and a 7th round draft choice.

Spitler is a finesse guy. I have watched him try to tackle the ball carrier and he is a drag down type tackler. He doen't lay the lumber at all and tackles like he's afraid he'll hurt the guy. And yes his instincts are less then stellar too. Spitler was not much more then an average guy when at Ohio State so I guess we can't expect him to be a real good NFL linebacker.

watched a little of the tampa game again and looked at Kearse. The kid sticks his nose in and takes on blockers. One play he got blown back a step but held his ground. Another play he took on his blocker with more arm technique and made the tackle at the LOS. He has some spunk. Showed more of it to me than Fields.

When a play ran outside for a good gain even though Kearse was there late, he hustled and seemed pretty fast for a NT. He has a different kind of bulk. A full offseason workout without a friggin player strike will do wonders for the kid. I hope he ends up back on PS.
