Mark my words, we will not draft Davis, even if he does slip. Parcells prefers big tight ends that can block....

why? if we get a Tight end it will be a huge one that can block and catch. davis is a recieving tight end and he has really bad hands. makes good catches but way too many drops. i actually might be more upset taking fred davis than any other player in the draft... he isnt horrible but would be horrible for miami

FRED DAVIS is going to be a pro bowl TE.

in the right system.

and parcells and henning both LOVE the TE position.

parcells likes a little better blocker than davis is, but
he has way to much talent to pass up if he falls into the
top of the second.

ilike keller to, but fred davis always comes through and
puts up the numbers and played in a pro style offense.

i agree.. he is to much of a talent to just pass up if he drops into the 2nd round.. especially the lower half.. the tuna will throw him in the weight room and make him block....

draft is almost here.. i am getting really excited

im all for John Carlson as our #1 TE. we could likely have him with #57

Fred davis would be a steal using our second pick in the 2nd round. Think Antonio gates with a little more top end speed! Blocking TE's are fine but we need game breakers & I believe he's in a league of his own when it comes down to stretching the field from his position! Just my opinion after from seeing him excel in about 20 games over the last 3 SC seasons....

yeah, and all the BS about him having these awful hands is a laugh!!

if that guys hands are bad and he can still put up those kind of
numbers, i'll take it!!!!

and lets face reality here, you dont get those kind of numbers if
you truelly have "bad" hands.

i just want a dynamic offense.. i was getting sick last year when i saw beck fumble snaps and hagan drop passes.. i want to be able to feel like were still in contention in october hahaha

I dont know how much Henning likes TE's, when he was in carolina he never had a decent one. I read somewhere that the only TE we have brought in is Dustin Keller. This is a deep TE class and i would be happy with Fred Davis, Dustin Keller, Martellus Bennett, or John Carlson.

Coming out of High School Davis was one of the Top WR prospects in the nation. He went to USC and they beefed him up due to the amount of good WRs. Now he is a solid TE with great hands.
