Fred Gibson??????

lol, Fred Gibson- Has a nicecombination of size, leaping ability and agility to contribute in the red zone. was drafted in the 4th in this years draft. Is loaded with potential and will have time to develop behind Chamber Booker and Boston. If he improves his focus, Gibson has the potential to develop into a Great 2nd, 3rd receiver.

I've heard comparisons of Gibson to that of Plaxico Burress.

Guys, with all due respect I think we have bigger problems to worry about than whether Gibson plays or not.

hold up here fellas , some teams are moving fast wrs to cb for the very reason of trying to improve defense so why not us? I know , I know lay off that beer, its ok i havent pop the top on a could one in three years .

I'm a big Bulldog fan and watched Fred through out his career because he was also from my home town of waycross ga. Fred is a good player with upside. He'll never be a number 1 receiver in my opinion but given time can make a solid number 2. I personally felt that Reggie Brown drafted by Philadelphia would make a better pro WR. I wished we would have had an extra pick to had gotten Reggie. Nonetheless, if Fred stays in Miami he'll break the starting lineup in 2 years. I would rather wait for Fred than watch another down with Derrius Thompson.

Completely agree with you on that..I watched Fred Gibson throughout this college career and know that he has the potential to be a great #2 WR. He just needs to focus and be more consistent with catching. During his years at UGA he was at times always reliable, but then there were times when he would drop passes that were easily catchable. At one point, some people would say that he was over-rated, but I don't believe he is. I think he just needs to learn a bit more from good WR's like Chambers, Booker, Boston and McMichael and watch out for him. I have a good feeling that he will contribute to the team in no time! ;)

Gibson was good at Georgia but always had a hurt hamstring. Combine that with being cut by the Steelers and I wonder if his heart is in the game. All the Steelers receivers are short so he should have been able to find a niche there but obviously something was amiss.
