Fred Gibson's Draft Grade

Nah dude. It isint like we are brining in camp-fodder in this one. This kid (if he performs the way he is capable of) could potentially be a #1 WR on alot of NFL teams in 2 or 3 years.

CNNSI Which I live and die by had Brown rated a 3.78 and Crowder a 3.77. What im trying to say as long as this kid lives up to his potential, we have a steal.

hmmmm...... He couldnt make the Steelers as a fourth round pick. Thats as bad as Clarett not making the Broncos as a third rounder. BTW keep in mind that he is still a ROOKIE and has done nothing in the NFL to prove anything.

Then why was he cut from the WR needy Steelers?
 
PITTSBURGH WANTED TO KEEP HIM! THEY WERE PLANNING ON STASHING HIM ON THEIR PS WHERE HE COULD LEARN (They knew he had skills and would need some COACHING to be a great NFL receiver) They are in a WIN-NOW mentality, and cannot hold a roster spot for a guy that may not contribute immediately. He is a great player with all the potential in the world. The Fins were lucky to grab him, and the FRIGGIN BILLS would have been as well.

No, we would not have. Were trying to get rid of our WR"s because we have WAY too man right now. Were comfortable with Moulds, Evans, and some are comfortable with Parrish. Not I but the coaches are.

Your excited about a player that a team that needs WR's wants to put on the PRACTICE SQUAD. These arn't players that tend to develop into stars, just backups at the best. Look at the WRs that Pitt. choose over him, they are of much less pedigree than this kid. Somethings wrong with him thats going to keep him from being good.

Look I don't think its a bad pickup for our PS, but calling him a potential number 1 is way too much optimism for this kid at this point.

OK well we are more then comfortable with Chambers, Booker and Boston. Does that mean we dont jump at the opportunity to grab a young, big WR who played in the SEC where our coach saw plenty of him? You are so short sighted its scary. Take a hint from coach Nick Saban- what separates the good from great teams is the bottom 25 players on the roster, not the top.
