do you guys believe we made enough moves in the draft and in free agency plus we will probably add a few players from team cuts before the season starts, to compete this year for possibly a playoff spot, i believe will have but i think it all comes down to qb play

i think this year we will be inproved and build but next year I think will have playoff possibility of they made the right decisions.

Always comes down to QB play. But lets give it a year or two before we start talking playoffs.

Playoffs????????? P-P-P-Playoffs??? Are we talking about Playoffs??

Are you freaking serious?? Are we better than the pats?? H no, are we gonna beat out the jags, broncos, colts, bengals, chargers, browns, and texans for one of the two wild cards?? Not this year. We aren't playing in the SEC or ACC, this is the AFC and there is no chance of the fins seeing a playoff game from any where other than the stands or a TV set. It sucks but it is what it is. Deal wit it. My suggestion is much strong drink, or at least that is what got me through last year.

i love the phins to death but lets be honest here there is no way this team is going to make the playoffs or finish the season at 500 or better..just being truthfull..im thinking at worst 3-13 and at best 6-10

really depends on the utilization of the new players and how they our NEW COACHING STAFF handles them. we may have the talent, which i believe we could, but playoffs? Not yet, but we've seen more unlikely things before...

No

As long as we don't get blown out like so many games last year........
Most people I know will consider 5-6 wins resonable. Remember this is a multi-year rebuild.

I don't think we'll make the playoffs this year, but anything's possible. In 2004 we went 4-12 and then went 9-7 in 2005 so don't automatically assume we'll be terrible this season. We had tons of injuries last season and poor coaching. If we can avoid injuries this season, I really think the phins may surprise some people, but not playoffs.

2008 record prediction: 7-9
2009 record prediction: 10-6

anything is possible, teams have gone from worst to first. seriously we need alot of help to make it happen...tom brady breaks his leg yada, blah, blah.

We didnt get blown out as much as we lost by 3 points???

For those fans that think there is a chance to hit the playoffs- well the odds are against you-big time. (especially in the AFC east) On paper, at least it looks like everyone in our division got better.

For those fans that think there is no chance to hit the playoffs- well that would be discounting history. Fact is in a league filled with parity anything can happen. When you look at the history of the super bowl losers- first to last is a NFL common place.

Look at who the experts take to go to the super bowl next year and I could almost bet that at least 40 percent of the teams picked will end up last or close to last in their division. Anything can happen- a starting quarterback goes down or you use up the rest of the luck you had. Would I bet New England will finish 1st in the division-sure why not, but at the same time I could see them start to spiral out of control.

I believe we have enough talent to turn things around but I would be absolutely shocked if we made the playoffs, especially coming out of the AFC.

O-line has to gel also. I believe by the end of the season we will have one of the top 5 O-lines in the league and they will be one of the top 3 next season.
I wouldn't trade our O-line for the starting 5 on any other team in our division, including the Pats and Jets.
The Jets O-line has question marks, despite all the hype they get. Ferguson isn't the dominant franchise LT people predicted he would be. Mangold is good, but Satele had just a big an impact his rookie yr. Faneca is very good, but the signing of Woody to play RT was a mistake. He's on the downside and he only played that position for 5 games last season (I believe).
The Pats O-line is a solid, but unspectacular group with no real dominant presence. They were exposed in the SB.
The Bills line is good, but I would take the potential of the Dolphins O-line over theirs.
Carey is the best RT in the division and Smiley is as solid as they come.
