CBS Sports ranked each teams most extension eligible players for each team…if Grier does this it will just be another dumbass move like the Ramsey one.

Something will need to give between Hill and the Dolphins. He's been the subject of trade speculation since the minute Miami's season ended (largely thanks to his doing). However, no blockbuster that ships Hill out of South Beach has come across the wire. If Miami decides to keep its star receiver, it'll likely need to come to some sort of an extension. Hill is signed through the 2026 season, but has no guaranteed money after this coming year. Even as he enters his age-31 season, Hill is still among the very best in the league at his position, so any sort of extension will be lucrative.

Hill is gone no matter what in 2026. Whether he gets traded or released.

Crazier things have happened, but in my opinion it wouldn’t really damage any chance developing a new culture with the young pups. I’ve stated many times that Grier/McD would benefit by suspending him the first game.

At this point, I doubt that Hill CAN change... he looks like a narcissist to me.

No guaranteed money beyond this season... Just the way I like our aging superstars.

100% agree. Hill has proven he can’t control,his narcissistic personality. A 1 game unpaid, suspension would just be to show the rest of the team that there is some sense of accountability, even if it’s just symbolic. Quitting on your team, refusing your HC order to go back into the game, has to be responded to. McD is new gen(I say this from my couch in Bangkok wearing capris lol) but no response/accountability is dangerous.

Rather have one of the others with a third round pick, if safety is even a significant need next year. At this early juncture I'm more inclined to keep this trench thing going. Or a top flight CB. Is there a generational ILB coming out? Safety feels like 2nd round and beyond position value, and only as high as 2nd for one that can do everything (cooper dejean was my pick last year, though I can't argue with Paul as of yet).
 
With both Phillips and Chubb as exit possibilities, i think Edge is as likely as CB next year, and WR is a possibility if the young guys dont progress.

Think we keep one depending who looks the most like past selves. Chubb can be cut post June 1st to essentially swap for Phillips if he’s the one. Phillips will turn 27 next week so my money would be on him. just needs to stay healthy.
