thats a good article on free agency. I feel we are often divided in here as the people who remain logical and the ones who let their imaginations and emotions get the best of them on alotta issues.

I personally feel we are doing a great job so far in free agency. We are not over spending and we are retaining people that matter. (fans of other teams are just as mad as some of you b/c they didnt ink crowder/bell/carey) The best teams build through the draft and through younger, cheaper, players and thats what we are finally doing.

As a yankee fan, i can tell you that large free agent aquisitions are not the answer, even though thats baseball you get the idea.

lets roll with this stellar FO we finally have and look forward to the drat and scouting our lesser known aquisistions.:woot:

It's especially interesting to me to see all these people mad we didn't overpay for a guy like Bart Scott. Channing Crowder had more tackels (and solo tackles), forced fumbles, fumble recoveries and pass breakups than Bart Scott did last year and we got him for a lot cheaper.

Gibril Wilson was a nice signing, and we managed to plug some major holes in bringing back the trio of Bell, Carey, and Crowder.

I also noticed that teams like San Diego, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee haven't been major players. That's 4 other playoff teams right there who realize it's better to build through the draft.

Jason Brown would've been nice - but not for the price; especially when this is the best crop of C's in a long time.

scott was playing alongside lewis, suggs, ngata, reed etc. waht else did u expect? suggs along had what 78 tackles? name 1 LB besides channing that had that on our team. oh and bell had 120 himself or so.

For the age of the player and the price - Crowder was definitely the better move. I doubt Bart Scott is going to be as good without Ngata, Lewis, Reed, etc. in New York.

We need a forum where you need to score atleast a 30 on the wonderlic, to enter.

A free forum. I don't advocate paying for a message board.
