Pick one free agent at each of those positions who you feel would be a realistic possibility financially and schematically.
I would be interested in:
MLB: Demario Davis not a game changer but upgrade with tannebaum connections I believe.
OG: Brandon Brooks I think he will be slightly cheaper than Osemele and fits zone blocking scheme (if we keep that with gase)
DB: Reggie Nelson safety (unlikely we land him but I love his game) also curious what you guys think of Janoris Jenkins Corner from Rams, he was a ballhawk at Florida and started off with a bunch of pick 6s haven't seen much recently though, thoughts?

MLB - Derrick Johnson - nice upgrade and add vet leadership.

OG - Brooks - Though I would most likely want to add more then one

DB - Leon Hall - has a connection with Joseph, knows the system

Brooks is probably best known for this

These FA decisions will depend on scheme, but two names I like at DB are Trumain Johnson from the Rams and Brandon Boykin from the Steelers.

Johnson is only 26 and he frankly outplayed Janoris Jenkins this year.

Boykin was solid for the Eagles before Chip Kelly unexpectedly dropped him. He signed a one year deal with the Steelers, but didn't see as much playing time as expected. He'll be looking for another chance to prove himself. Boykin is best suited for the slot, so he would have to compete with Brice McCain.

This.

Really like all three of these. Definitely the veteran route with Hall and Johnson, but I feel our locker room needs that. With this though, we need to draft well and develop our own behind these guys. That is a given, but has been severely lacking as of late.

Side note: Brooks is one big dude.

MLB - Craig Robertson (Browns)
CB - Nolan Carroll (Philly)
OG - Kelechi Osemele (Balt)

Johnson and Hall are bringing big salaries to the table. I don't see how we can afford that and there are good lower-priced options available. Robertson is an unsung hero. Carroll should maybe never have left Miami, but he's blossomed into a very good boundary corner. Osemele is one of the league's better guards and wouldn't break the bank.

Why do you say that? Top guard in the market...increased his value playing LT in a pinch this year. Been a stud for years, top option on the market, can't see the man not being a top 3 guard in terms of pay.

Honestly, we should spend every FA cent on offensive linemen that are experienced starters in the NFL. Draft D the best we can and take our lumps on the defensive side in 2016. We'll be force-feeding a new scheme already so there's already an excuse on why we'll suck there. No point spending money on it when it's gonna suck no matter what.

2016: The year we fix the offense or just **** this team.

I like Danny Trevathan from Denver....I am not sure if he is a MLB or what, but the guy can play. He is also super young and already has plenty of experience in big games.

as for DB, I hope we can land Reggie Nelson and Leon Hall.

Don't know much about o-line, so I just hope we get someone good. I think getting these three guys allows us to possibly focus on picking up a DE in the first round instead of a LB or CB.

The only FA's i would want to go after are an OG and MLB. The rest we can do in the draft. I would put all sorts of money towards Osemele

I agree, by upgrading those two positions it will make each side of the ball much better.

As far as the draft I'm taking a CB at 8. Grimes isn't even a #1 corner any more. He'll be lucky to get paid as an average #2 CB next year from somebody else. The fins could use that money as well as the money from possibly restructuring Wake and Cameron to resign OV. I'm taking Ramsey or Hargreaves in the 1st and not looking back.

Nolan Carroll was a guy who got a ton of flak on here, but I thought he really played much better his last year here, and I was sorry to see him go.

I'd absolutely look at bringing him back. He's so much better than Jamar Taylor, it's not even funny.

There are a lot of guys out there out linebacker and db that I think we could add as medium/lost cost alternatives to what we have now. All depends on the schemes we will be running of course. Regardless of that Osemele/Brooks have to be the top targets. After that, I would go after a FS/MLB/CB

some names at linebacker: (Our own kelvin shepherd is a free agent too I believe, so we might as well spend some cash to upgrade...)

-Derrick Johnson (best choice, old but still balling. a pricey bandaid for us)
-Danny Trevathan (likely too much $?)
-Rolando McClain (don't see this one happening)
-Jerrell Freeman
-Demario Davis
-Craig Robertson
-Zach Brown
-Keenan Robinson
-Shea McClellin

olb: Tahir Whitehead / Nick Perry, could we cut Misi and replace with one of them? I don't know.

FS: Eric Berry is my top choice. Reggie Nelson next. Doubt those two guys get away.... So then maybe Reshad Johnson from arizona? Quinten Demps?

CB: (I'd honestly be fine with dumping Grimes/McCain and reloading with 2-3 guys from this list if that was possible)
-Prince Amukamara
-Janoris Jenkins
-Trumaine Johnson
-Patrick Robinson
-Jerraurd Powers
-Josh Robinson
-Nolan Carroll

I like Bama MLB Reggie Ragland who I think is pro ready and will be a star right away. They could move down and get him the way it stands now

Take Brooks or the Raven's OG and then sign a FS to compete with a third or fourth round pick. I don't think we have anyone on roster now who has a legit shot to be a solid FS. Thomas is a backup and Aikens doesn't seem like he'll ever get it
