PFW from two weeks ago had the full UFA and RFA lists... not a very strong offensive list, overall... But there are some gems on the O-Line, and we certainly need help there (if anyone still argues this team is fine up front, there's medication for that line of thinking).

Steve Hutchinson has broken the bank for the guard position, so money will be thrown at that spot, a definite team need. That being said, it is beyond clear that two unrestricted targets Miami should CERTAINLY consider spending money on are San Diego's Kris Dielman (scrappy, young), and/or Cincy's Eric Steinbach (steady, extremely versatile).

After them, here are the intriguing names, as I see it, with youth being a top priority:

G:
Vince Manuwai
Derrick Dockery
Montrae Holland
Cooper Carlisle

T:
Jon Stinchcomb
Leonard Davis
Leander Jordan

C:
Todd McClure
Dan Koppen
Jeremy Newberry (though, he's a huge medical risk, may retire)
Andre Gurode
Shaun O'Hara

Great post, thx. I'd go with Chris Dielman, he's a young mauler.

I promise you the Dolphins will sign no free agent linemen; the players we have are good enough. They should draft a LT however.

I don't know if any of those guys are huge upgrades. Gurode possibly. I agree with Phinking...hopefully in the draft we can find someone who can compete.

Dockery looks nice at Guard. However, we are overloaded at Guard. A Tackle might be nice. Backup Material, though. At center, I'd make a BIG OFFER to McClure. We could really use some help there... and those guys fit the bill.

G:
Vince Manuwai
Derrick Dockery - #2 run-blocking Left Guard after week 11
Montrae Holland
Cooper Carlisle

T: - I'd rather have Damion McIntosh
Jon Stinchcomb
Leonard Davis - ranked #20.
Leander Jordan

C:
Todd McClure - #7 runblocker
Dan Koppen
Jeremy Newberry (though, he's a huge medical risk, may retire)
Andre Gurode
Shaun O'Hara - #16

Note: I'm in the process of updating the list...

I'm with phinking, I hope there's an impact LT in the draft, otherwise I would leave the line alone, they seem to be gelling and the less tinkering there the better IMHO.

Wait, Carey can't be on the list because he is a bust right? :rolleyes2

i'm not.... we need a center a LT draft or free agency ...and if you think the line is ok then we need a better running back you can't say the O-line is fine and the rb position is fine if they seldomly produce

R.Hadnot - 3.39 YPC vs. T.McClure - 4.51 YPC vs. S.McKinney(2005) - 4.21 YPC

50% of our runs are up the middle. An extra yard per run would be nice...
"3rd and 2's" become "1st and 10's".
********
Except for the Minnesota game... Ronnie has played great since swapping McInstosh and Shelton.

@PIT 15 - 30 YDS
BUF 15 - 70 YDS
TEN 26 - 90 YDS
@HOU 12 - 49 YDS
@NE 17 - 39 YDS

@NYJ 22 - 127 YDS
GB 15 - 59 YDS
@CHI 29 - 157 YDS
KC 25 - 89 YDS
MIN 11 - 5 YDS
@DET 15 - 68 YDS

Before Swap - 3.27 YPC; 55.6 Y/G
After Swap - 4.32 YPC; 101 Y/G

Todd McClure would be miscast in Miami. He blocks on Atlanta's offensive line, coached by Alex Gibbs in that classic Alex Gibbs running attack. You can't view him the same way you'd view a guy that comes from a more normal running attack.

Dan Koppen, as far as I know, received a contract extension.

Your cream of the crop are, in this order, Leonard Davis, Eric Steinbach, and Vince Manuwai.

I'm not entirely sure why Mike Gandy has been left off the list at OT, but he is your top tackle prospect. Leonard Davis was an All Pro at RG and has been forced to play a position where he is average at best.
