As for center with the outside zone heavy scheme james Daniels of those 2 options but Miami may need to just nut up and go get linderbaum in the teens. Of course you could have just took him at 15 most likely if your gm didn’t royally screw up that trade out from 3 last year with all the chips on his table. We got smoked on that trade out and trade back up. But I digress.

Ya I saw that Collins is on the block per Rapaport but an immediate trade doesn't look likely to me because of the dead cap as I mentioned. Apparently you can't designate a trade post June 1 only a cut.

For the amount it would cost to move up from 29 to the teens I would just try and pry Erik McCoy (Age-25) from the cap strapped Saints (we should've drafted him - another screw up as I'm sure you know that's the pick we had but traded down to get a lower pick and deal for Rosen). It only saves them $2.8M this year but they are likely not going to be able to sign him for close to top center money next year (Frank Ragnow is getting 13.5M and is about the same age) as they are once again deferring their cap issues to next year. Eventually it's going to catch up with them. I guess the only question is do you want to sink that much cap into center next year.

I'm simply hoping McCoy is because they are cap strapped this year and most likely won't be able to sign him in 2023 when he becomes an UFA. They keep rolling their cap deficiencies and that eventually catches up you with like how they can't resign Terron Armstead this year. As for Ragnow I wasn't suggesting we go after him I was only using him as an example of the contract that McCoy might command in 2023.

Right I get it with ragnow and I think you are in line with that.

23.9 mil for armstead a guy that’s missed at least 5 games in 5 of his 9 seasons is steep and sketchy

He's 30, that's not exactly ancient (the tackles you suggested are 31 and 29) and coming off a pro bowl season ( I know it's a popularity contest but still you have to admit he's pretty good). I am a big believer in having experience mixed in with young talent in order to transition your young guys into pros. Good coaches are required for development but I truly believe a vet is a must as well. As he is coming from the SF system what better player to have to teach your young line the intricacies of the scheme. Now I get it, he's more of a nice to have as both OT's and center are more important to resolve but I think you could work in an out in his contract after a year or two after our young guys have developed and are ready to take over. All that said this was only the scenario where we sign Duane Brown and Morgan Moses. If you're going to pony up the money to get Fisher (31 yrs) and Trent Brown (29 yrs) then they probably can't afford Tomlinson. If we went with the guys you have suggested (E. Fisher, J. Daniels and T. Brown) we're looking at $36.5M based on values in my OP. That's in line with the total I had ($34M) which as I mentioned I could get behind. Only problem with this scenario is that Grier has to admit that Ajax is a bust to Ross as Fisher is a longer term solution and that Trent Brown hasn't had a ton of experience in WZ (Fisher did in KC I believe).

Looks like PFF updated their projection to Three years, $31.5 million ($10.5M per year, $19.5 million total guaranteed). From 9M/yr in my OP.

He’s a better run blocker than pass protector tomlinson. I don’t know that I am down with the Duane brown thing. I see that as at best a one year stop gap and even that’s dicey. The floor could fall from under him any day. Id be much more comfortable if that was my plan b

Anyways tackles age better than guards imo just with all the phone booth contact.

I’m just not ready to give up on austin Jackson yet as a left side plan a guy. I dont know what happened to his tackle feet he showed prior to that foot injury his rookie year but they haven’t been there since
